Analisis Pengaruh Nilai Tukar, Suku Bunga dan Inflasi Terhadap Jumlah Uang Beredar (pendekatan VAR)

Abstract

The money supply is an important role in the economy. Every change in money supply will affect the price level that will give an affect to the rate of growth of an economy. Therefore, the management of the money supply must be done very carefully and consider the influences that will be happen. On these ideas, this study aims to analyze the effect of exchange rates, interest rates, and inflation on the money supply. This study uses time series data are from the first quarter 2006 to the fourth quarter of 2015. The analysis model is the analysis of econometric models. Vector Auto Regression (VAR and using analytical tools to process data by using eviews 7. The estimation results show that the exchange rate and inflation have a positive effect on the money supply. While interest rates have a negative impact on the money supply.

Jumlah uang beredar memegang peranan penting dalam perekonomian. Setiap perubahan jumlah uang beredar akan berpengaruh terhadap tingkat harga sehingga mempengaruhi laju pertumbuhan suatu perekonomian. Oleh karena itu pengelolaan terhadap jumlah uang beredar harus dilakukan dengan sangat hati-hati dan mempertimbangkan pengaruh yang akan terjadi. Atas pemikiran tersebut maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh nilai tukar, suku bunga, dan inflasi terhadap jumlah uang beredar. Penelitian ini menggunakan data runtut waktu yaitu dari triwulan I 2006-triwulan IV 2015. Model analisis yang diguanakan adalah analisi ekonometrika model Vector Auto Regression (VAR) dan menggunakan alat analisis untuk mengolah data yaitu dengan menggunakan eviews 7. Hasil estimasi menunjukan bahwa nilai tukar dan inflasi mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap jumlah uang beredar. Sedangkan Suku bunga mempunyai pengaruh negatif terhadap jumlah uang beredar.
