    Abstract
    This thesis entitled “Illocutionary Acts on Conditional Sentences Found in the Gospels”. It is a pragmatics analysis namely the speech acts with the main subject illocutionary acts. Based on the analysis, the category of illocutionary acts they are: representatives, directives, commissives, expressives, and declarations performed on conditional sentences in the Gospels. The data are collected and analyzed by using descriptive qualitative method. To find out the type of conditinal sentences, the writer used theory of Ace and Subbotin (2004) and to find out the category and sub-category the writer used theory of Searle (1979). From the data which are collected and analysed there are found 59 conditional sentences that consist of illocutinary acts with 23 zero conditional, 25 first conditional, 4 second conditional, 3 third conditional, and 4 mixed conditional. From the findings, there are 28 representatives, 19 directives, 12 commissives, 0 expressives, and 0 declarations in the Gospels. Sub-category of representatives found namely: asserting (4), claiming (4), and stating (13).Sub-category of directives found namely: advising (5). commanding (11), requesting (1), praying (1), begging (1), and praying (1). Sub category of commissives found namely promising (11).
     
    Skripsi ini berjudul “Illocutionary Acts on Conditional Sentences Found in the Gospels”. Ini merupakan suatu kajian pragmatik yakni kategori tindak tutur dengan subjek utama tindak ilokusi. Kategori dari tindak ilokusi yakni: representatif, direktif, komisif, ekspresif, dan deklaratif yang terdapat pada kalimat pengandaian di Kitab Injil. Data-data dikumpulkan dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskripsi kualitatif. Untuk menentukan tipe kalimat pengandaian penulis menggunakan teori Ace dan Subbotin (2004) dan untuk menentukan kategori dab sub-kategori tindak tutur penulis menggunakan teori Searle (1979). Dari data yang dikumpulkan terdapat 59 kalimat pengandaian yang mengandung tindak ilokusi dengan 23 kalimat pengandaian tipe nol, 25 kalimat pengandaian tipe pertama, 4 kalimat pengandaian tipe kedua, 3 kalimat pengandaian tipe ketiga, dan 4 kalimat pengandaian tipe campuran. Dari penemuan terdapat 28 representatif , 19 direktif, 12 komisif, dan tidak ada ditemukan ekspresif dan deklarasi pada kalimat pengandaian di Kitab Injil. Sub-kategori representatif yang ditemukan adalah: menegaskan (4), menggugat (4), dan menyatakan (13). Sub-kategori dari direktif yang ditemukan adalah: menasehati (5), memerintah (11), meminta (1), berdoa (1), and memohon (1). Sub-kategori komisif yang ditemukan adalah berjanji (11).
