The Victims of Gunung Sinabung at Siosar Kabupaten Karo

Abstract

This writing is entitled The Victims of Gunung Siabung at Siosar Kabupaten Karo. This research is taken place at two different places, they are Siosar and the villages where the victims used to live before they sent to Siosar by the Indonesian Government. The names of their villages before they went to Siosar are Gunung Meriah, Simacem, and Bakerah. The people who are sent by the government to Siosar given facilities to each family one unit house (the houses can be seen on chapter two) to live in and a peace of land about 5.000m2 for croppings. As addition to these the government also provided three big busses for the people to go to Kabanjahe from Siosar and from Siosar to Kabanjahe to buy daily staffs. For students there are different busses provided by, since there has not been shools built by. The people of Gunung Sinabung victims who are sent to Siosar there are 520 families. According to the history thay 635 years ago Gunung Sinabung erupted for only one day. Again on the 29th of September 2010 at midnight it erupted and continuous up to day. It caused the society must be sent to Siosar. There were twenty five people killed by the Gunung Sinabung lava.

Kertas Karya ini berjudul The Victims of Gunung Siabung at Siosar Kabupaten Karo. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua tempat yang berbeda, yaitu di tempat sebelum para korban tersebut pindah ke Siosar. Masyarakat korban Gunung Sinabung yang direlokasikan ke Siosar berasal dari tiga desa yang berbeda, yaitu Suka Meriah, Simacem, dan Bakerah. Setiap kepala keluarga diberikan oleh Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana Pemerintah Indonesia (BNPB) masing-masing satu unit rumah (dapat dilihat pada BAB 2) untuk tempat tinggal dan 5.000m2 tanah untuk bercocok tanam. Demikian juga alat transportasi (tiga unit bus berkapasitas enam puluh orang penumpang) disediakan untuk mereka. Bus tersebut berangkat dari Siosar ke Kabanjahe dan dari Kabanjahe ke Siosar. Untuk pengangkutan anak sekolah yang bersekolah di Kabanjahe juga disediakan bus lain, berhubung di Siosar belum ada sekolah dibangun. Masyarakat korban Gunung Sinabung yang direlokasikan ke Siosar ada sebanyak 520 kepala keluarga. 635 tahun yang lalu menurut sejarah bahwa Gunung Sinabung pernah meletus, tetapi hanya satu hari saja. Belakangan ini semenjak tanggal 29 September 2010 meletus pada tengan malam sudah tidak ada lagi henti-hentinya hingga hari sehingga masyarakat di dekat Gunung Sinabung harus direlokasikan ke Siosar. Hingga hari ini sudah ada sebanyak dua puluh lima orang meninggal dunia akibat erupsi Gunung Sinabung tersebut.
