This paper entitled “An Analysis of Non-literal Meaning in Marulafau’s Selected Poems”. Non-literal meaning is the meaning when the speaker means something different from what the words, phrases, or sentences really mean. Non-literal meaning uses of language are traditionally called figurative and are described by a host of rhetorical terms including methapor, simile, metonymy, synecdoche, hyperbole, litotes and personification. This paper uses library research that refers to book and internet. This analysis also use descriptive qualitative while for collecting sample uses purposive sampling method. This paper uses Saeed theory about the types of non-literal meaning. From the analysis, found that Siamir Marulafau uses many non literal meaning in his poems. On the whole, it is found 10 cases of simile, 3 cases of methapor and 14 cases of hyperbole. Kertas karya ini berjudul “An Analysis of Non-literal Meaning in Marulafau’s Selected Poems”. Makna non - literal adalah makna ketika pembicara mengartikan sesuatu yang berbeda dari apa kata-kata, frase, atau kalimat makna sesungguhnya. Non – literal secara tradisional disebut figuratif dan dijelaskan oleh sejumlah istilah retoris termasuk methapor, simile, metonimi, synecdoche, hiperbola, litotes dan personifikasi. Makalah ini menggunakan penelitian perpustakaan yang mengacu pada buku dan internet. Analisis ini juga menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif sedangkan untuk mengumpulkan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teori yang digunakan teori Saeed tentang pembagian tipe non literal meaning. Dari hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa Siamir Marulafau menggunakan banyak makna non literal dalam puisi-puisinya. Secara keseluruhan, ditemukan 10 kasus simile, 3 kasus methapor dan 14 kasus hiperbola.
