Analisis Alih Wahana pada Alur Cerita Novel 《金陵十三钗》(Jīnlíng shísān chāi) Karya 严歌苓(Yán gē líng) ke Film The Flower of War

Abstract

The title of the thesis is “Analysis of Plot Adaptation on Yan Ge Ling Novel《金陵十三钗》(Jīnlíng shísān chāi )into The Flower of War movie”. The objective of this research is to describe how plot adaptation on Yan Ge Ling Novel《金陵十三钗》(Jīnlíng shísān chāi ) potrayed in The Flower of War movie also to find out addition and deletion on story plot. The writer choose analysis of plot adaptation on Yan Ge Ling Novel《金陵十三钗》(Jīnlíng shísān chāi )into The Flower of War movie because both of this work receive a remarkable award considering not many adaptation movie that can be as succesful as the source. In the analysis, a qualitative descriptive method is used. The Theory of Ecranisation and Robert Stanton Theory of Plot was used to analysis the plot adaptation from novel to movie . The analysis give some description about addition and deletion of the story plot when 《金陵十三钗》novel was adapted into The Flower of War movie.

Judul skripsi ini adalah “Analisis Alih Wahana pada Alur Cerita Novel 《金陵十三钗》(Jīnlíng shísān chāi)Karya 严歌苓(Yan Ge Ling) ke Film The Flower of War”. Tujuan penelitian adalah Untuk mendeskripsikan alih wahana pada alur cerita dalam novel《金陵十三钗》(Jīnlíng shísān chāi) karya 严歌苓(Yan Ge Ling) yang digambarkan ke film The Flower of War serta menemukan penambahan dan pengurangan/penciutan pada alur cerita selama proses alih wahana berlangsung . Penulis memilih analisis ahli wahana pada novel《金陵十三钗》ke film The Flower of War karena kedua karya tersebut berhasil mendapat penghargaan melihat tidak semua film yang diadaptasi dari novel terkenal berhasil mendapat penghargaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teori dalam skripsi ini menggunakan teori ekranisasi dan teori alur Robert Stanton . Kedua teori tersebut digunakan untuk menganalisis alih wahana pada alur cerita novel ke film . Hasil penelitian ini memberikan deskripsi mengenai penambahan, pengurangan/penciutan yang terjadi pada alur cerita pada novel 《金陵十三钗》ke film The Flower of War sebagai akibat dari proses alih wahana.
