This thesis entitled Negative Aspects of American Social Life Reflected In The Leading Character Of Jordan Belfort's Novel The Wolf of Wall Street that includes the negative aspects of social life which is viewed by the leading character in the novel The Wolf of Wall Street which are drug use and free sex resulting in cerebral palsy and Jordan Belfort’s divorce. In analyzing this thesis, the writer use the sociological approach of literature, which is very suitable to analyze the negative aspects of the social life of the main character who is strongly influenced by the working environment on Wall Street which is reflected in the novel The Wolf of Wall Street. The writer use some quotations to support in analyzing this thesis. However, The writer also referring to the other sources related to the issues discussed in this thesis. Skripsi ini berjudul Negative Aspects of American Social Life Reflected In The Leading Character Of Jordan Belfort’s Novel The Wolf of Wall Street yang memuat aspek negatif dalam kehidupan sosial yang ditinjau dari karakter utama dalam novel The Wolf of Wall Street yang berupa pemakaian narkoba dan seks bebas yang mengakibatkan lumpuh otak dan perceraian Jordan Belfort. Dalam menganalisa skripsi ini penulis menggunakan pendekatan sosiologis sastra, dimana pendekatan ini sangat cocok dalam menganalisa aspek negatif dalam kehidupan sosial dari karakter utama yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan pekerjaannya di Wall Street yang tercermin dalam novel The Wolf of Wall Street. Penulis mengambil kutipan untuk mendukung dalam menganalisa skripsi ini. Namun, penulis juga merujuk ke sumber – sumber lain yang berhubungan dengan masalah yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini.
