The Effectiveness of Sekolah Toefl to Enhance Student’s Toefl Score

Abstract

This thesis entitled “The Effectiveness of Sekolah TOEFL to Enhance Student’s TOEFL score”. In this thesis explain the effectiveness of Sekolah TOEFL as an online learning method to enhance students’s TOEFL score who come from various universities in Indonesia. The purpose of this thesis is to find out how effective Sekolah TOEFL to enhance the student’s score, and also the factors that attract people to study at Sekolah TOEFL. The method of research used is quantitative method, and design used is one group pretest-posttest design by (Sugiyono, 2010) and the attractiveness indicators by (Slavin, 1984). With the quantitative and one group pretestposttest can be seen how effective Sekolah TOEFL to enhance the TOEFL score by taking 10% samples of 200 students who learn at Sekolah TOEFL. The result of this research indicates that the increase student’s scores after they follow learning process as long as six months. It can be seen from the pretest (8,712), and posttest (9,765), which means the result of posttest is higher than pretest result, with the increase starts from 10 to 85 points.

Skripsi ini berjudul “The Effectiveness Of Sekolah TOELF to Enhance Student’s TOEFL score” . Skripsi ini membahas mengenai keefektifan Sekolah TOEFL yang menggunakan sistem pembelajaran berbasis online dalam meningkatkan nilai TOEFL Mahasiswa/i dari berbagai universitas di Indonesia. Tujuan skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif Sekolah TOEFL dalam meningkatkan nilai siswanya, dan faktor apa saja yang mengakibatkan Sekolah TOEFL sangat diminati oleh Mahasiswa/i. Metode yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode kuantitatif dan Satu Kelompok Pretest-Posttes (Sugiyono, 2010) dan indikator yang digunakan dalam menentukan ketertarikan (Slavin, 1984). Dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan Satu Kelompok Pretest-Posttes tersebut, dapat diketahui seberapa efektif Sekolah TOEFL dalam meningkatkan nilai siswanya dengan mengambil 10% sampel dari 200 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan nilai TOEFL siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran selama enam bulan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai siswa pada postes lebih tinggi dibandingakan pada postes. Pada prates 8,712 sementara di postes meningkat 9,765 dengan nilai peningkatan dimulai dari 10 sampai 85 poin.
