Byproducts and industrial potential of cassava as raw material feed sheep complete. This study aims to determine the effect of complete feed based cassava byproduct of the consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion of local ram with initial body weight averaging 7.75 ± 1.75 kg. The first phase of the research conducted in the field of cassava clones and a second study conducted at Faculty of Agriculture, the University of North Sumatra in September to December 2013. Research design used in phase 1 is the random sampling method with 2 plots tile and for phase 2 randomized complete block design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 4 replications. This treatment consists of P1: (100% grass); P2 (50% grass and 50% pelleted complete feed); (P3: 100% complete feed of raw material remaining harvest cassava clones). The results showed the average potential of the dry matter of cassava clones crop residues as feedstock complete feed as 14265 kg / ha so as to accommodate 12.5 Animal Unit(AU). Local male sheep feed consumption (kg / head / month) 43.01 P0, P1 and P2 22:37 26.21. The average growth of the local male sheep body weight (kg / head / month) 2.8 P0, P1 and P2 3:26 4.62. Local sheep ram feed conversion P0 15.44; P1 8.04; P2 4.70. Digestibility of crude fiber P0 65,24, P1 64,68, P2 65,24, crude protein digestibility of 86 P0, P1 and P2 90.5 88 Statistical tests showed that the feeding of raw material complete the rest of the harvest cassava clones was highly significant decrease feed consumption, body weight increase , lower feed conversion and increase the digestibility of crude protein.en_US
Konversi pakan domba lokal jantan P0 15,44; P1 8,04; P2 4,70. Kecernaan serat kasar P0 65,24, P1 64,68, P2 65,24, kecernaan protein kasar P0 86, P1 88 dan P2 90.5. Uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan komplit yang berbahan baku dari sisa panen ubi kayu klon berpengaruh sangat nyata menurunkan konsumsi pakan, meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan, menurunkan konversi pakan dan meningkatkan kecernaan protein kasar.en_US
