dc.description.abstract | Palm kernel cake is an agricultural waste that can be used as raw material in the preparation of poultry diet, but the utilization is still limited this is because the palm kernel cake has a limitation, that is the content of crude fiber is quite high (especially lignin) and low palatability. This study aims to determine the influence of endopower β in commercial diet containing palm kernel cake. This research was conducted in experimental cage Laboratory of Animal Biology Faculty of Agriculture University of Sumatera Utara. The design used Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Level endopower β used 0 % (R0), 0.02% (R1), 0.04% (R2) and 0.06% (R3). The results showed that R0a and R0b were significantly different from R3 in terms of diet consumption, body weight gain and the conversion ratio. The highest energy metabolism was found in R3 and for the highest IOFC there is R0a. The utilization of β endopower in commercial rations containing palm kernel cake in broilers can increase body weight gain, feed consumption, improve feed use efficiency and even increase metabolism energy. It is concluded that utilization endpower β improve performances of broiler chicken fed by diet containing palm kernel cake. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Bungkil inti sawit merupakan limbah pertanian yang dapat dijadikan bahan baku dalam penyusunan ransum unggas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biologi Ternak dan dianalisa di laboratorium Ilmu nutrisi dan makanan Program Studi Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini berlangsung dari bulan Nopember sampai dengan Desember 2013.
Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan R0a = Ransum Komersial (100%); Ransum Komersial + 20% Bungkil Inti Sawit + Endopower β 0%(R0b),0.02% (R1), 0,04% (R2), 0,06%(R3). Pengaruh perlakuan dianalisa dengan sidik ragam (ANOVA) yang dilanjutkan dengan uji DUNCAN bila terdapat pengaruh nyata antar perlakuan. Peubah yang diamati adalah konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan (PBB), konversi pakan, Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC) dan Nilai Energi Metabolisme.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Endopower β dalam ransum komersial yang mengandung bungkil inti sawit pada ayam broilermemberikan pengaruh signifikan (P<0,01) terhadap konsumsi, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi ransum dan IOFC. Meningkatnya dosis penggunaan Endopower β dapat menurunkan konsumsi ayam broiler (R2=663,93g/ekor/minggu) meningkatkan pertambahan bobot(R3=387,76 g/ekor/minggu ) menurunkan nilai konversi(R3=1,70) meningkatkan energi metabolisme (R3=2702,88) dan meningkatkan rataan income feed cost (IOFC). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Endopower βdosis 0,06% dalam ransum komersial yang mengandung 20% bungkil inti sawit pada ayam broiler dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan performan ayam broiler. | en_US |
