    Abstract
Samosir.

This study aims to look at the genetic distance and variable factors differentiating horses in four regencies in North Sumatra. This study was conducted in Karo, Humbang Hasundutan, North Tapanuli and Samosir from July 2016. The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis, discriminant analysis, canonical analysis, Principal Component Analysis, Distance Genetics and Tree Filogenik. Long Skull top horses come from the district. Karo, and the lowest in the district. Samosir. The width of the skull is the highest average in the district. Karo, and the average lowest in the district. Samosir. Results High average is highest in the skull of the district. North Tapanuli, And the lowest in the district. Samosir. And the average value AT highest jaw length is in the district. North Tapanuli, And the lowest in the district. Samosir. The coefficient of the highest diversity is found in Kab AT horses. North Tapanuli, And the lowest in the district. Humbahas. Variables That Become horse differentiator is Long Skull. Its closest genetic distance horse is a horse across the district. Karo And Kab. North Tapanuli, and horses of Jatropha genetic Yang has furthest is the horse in the district. Karo WITH horse in the district. Samosir.
