    Pengaruh Penambahan Asam Oleat dan Asam Palmitat terhadap Ukuran Pori Silika dari Hasil Ekstraksi Silika Abu Boiler Pabrik Minyak Kelapa Sawit

    Abstract
    Extraction of silica has made from boiler ash processing of palm oil by using varying concentrations of NaOH to increase yield of silica in a row from 7 N, 8N, and 9 N. and the obtained results are recpectively as 39.20%, 62.50%, dan 64%. Analysis FT-IR spectrum showed a group of Si-O-Si and Si-OH which indicates silica material. Then characterization using XRD to demonstrate the diffraction peak of amorphous silica And BET analysis to find out the results of the nitrogen gas adsorption desorption showing the silica surface area, pore size, and pore volume respectively 60.08 m2/g, 79 Å, dan 61.20 cc/g. And also it been done the addition of oleic acid and palmitic acid as directores of the pore size on silica extraction results. The result of the addition of oleic acid different from the result of palmitic acid based adsorption desorption of nitrogen to the silica. Oleic acid is obtained using the surface area, pore size, and pore volume respectively 40.34 m2/g, 46.08 Å, dan 28.56 cc/g. Palmitic acid obtained while using surface area, pore size, and pore volume respectively 17.67 m2/g, 41.31 Å, dan 44.74 cc/g.
     
    Telah dilakukan ekstraksi silika dari abu boiler pabrik minyak kelapa sawit dengan menggunakan variasi konsentrasi NaOH untuk meningkatkan yield silika secara berturut-turut 7 N, 8 N, dan 9 N. Dan diperoleh hasilnya berturut-turut sebanyak 39.20%, 62.50%, dan 64%. Kemudian dianalisis dengan FT-IR menunjukkan adanya gugus Si-O-Si dan Si-OH yang mengindikasikan material silika. Lalu dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD menunjukkan puncak difraksi silika amorf. Dan analisa BET untuk mengetahui hasil adsorpsi desorpsi gas nitrogen terhadap silika yang menunjukkan luas permukaan, ukuran pori, dan volume pori masing-masing adalah: 60.08 m2/g, 79 Å, dan 61.20 cc/g. Telah dilakukan juga penambahan asam oleat dan asam palmitat sebagai pengarah ukuran pori pada silika hasil ekstraksi. Hasil penambahan asam oleat berbeda dengan hasil penambahan asam palmitat berdasarkan adsorpsi desorpsi nitrogen terhadap silika. Menggunakan asam oleat diperoleh luas permukaan, ukuran pori, dan volume pori masing-masing adalah: 40.34 m2/g, 46.08 Å, dan 28.56 cc/g. Sedangkan menggunakan asam palmitat diperoleh luas permukaan, ukuran pori, dan volume pori masing-masing adalah: 17.67 m2/g, 41.31 Å, dan 44.74 cc/g.
