    Alat Ukur Ketinggian Air dalam Tangki Berbasis Mikrokontroller ATmega8

    Abstract
    Air adalah kebutuhan yang sangat penting, ketersediaan air tetap harus selalu ada baik di rumah tangga, perkantoran, tempat-tempat umum ataupun industri. Ini menyebabkan peran penampung air menjadi penting untuk menjamin ketersediaan air secara pasti. Mekanisme pengukur ketinggian permukan air secara otomatis diperlukan untuk menjaga ketersediaan air ini. Salahsatunya dengan membuat sensor pengukur ketinggian air yang diumpan balikkan dengan pompa pengisi bak penampung air tersebut. Resistor variable tipe trimer potensiometer (trimpot) multi turn dapat dipakai sebagai elemen sensor dimana perubahan ketinggian air akan memutar knob atautrimer resistor variabel. Ini akan menghasilkan perubahan tegangan yang merupakan masukan analog bagi ADC 8 bit tipe 0804. Keluaran atau output digital dari ADC akan dimasukkan ke port mikrokontroler AT89S52 yang selanjutnya diolah untuk ditampilkan berupa ketinggian air dan kondisi pompa air pada display LCD 16 x 2 tipe M1632.
     
    Water is an important requirement in human living, availability of water should always be well fixed in households, offices, public facilities or industries. This led to the role of water storage to be important to ensure the availability of water every time Mechanisms measuring water levels are automatically required to keep availability of this water. One of them is by making the water level sensors are fed back to the water pump filling the water tank. Variable resistor that is the type trimer potentiometer (trimpot) multiturn can be used as a sensor element which changes the height of the water will turn a knob or trimer variable resistor. This will produce a voltage change which is the analog input to the ADC 8 bit 0804 type. Digital output of the ADC will be entered into the port of AT89S52 microcontroller is further processed to appear as the water levels an conditions of the water pump on a 16 x 2 LCD display type M1632.
