    Evaluasi Kinerja Komposter Menara pada Pengomposan Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) Menggunakan Pupuk Cair Organik Aktif dari Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit (LCPKS)

    Abstract
    Composting Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) on Composter Tower by mixing with active organic liquid fertilizer (ALOF) is an alternative to the utilization of solid waste produced from palm oil mill which more efficient. This study aims to find the technique of composting EFB which is more efficient in terms of processes and time. The assessment was done by varying the size of the raw material, the frequency of circulation and air intake holes. The composting process is done with put EFB that obtained from the POM Sei Mangkei to the composter with adding PCOA to achieve optimum value Moisture content 55-65%. During composting MC is maintained in optimum condition by adding PCOA. Parameters measured were temperature, MC, pH, Water Holding Capacity, electrical conductivity, C/N ratio and the quality of compost. The research proves based on C/N ratio the compost can be obtained at day 10 with the best compost obtained at TKKS variation quartered with a circulation of 5 days once in a composter with air intake holes 72.39 cm2 / cm2 44314.29 with a pH of 8.8, MC, 67,89%, WHC 60%, EC 3.595 dS /m and C/N ratio 19.54.
     
    Proses pengomposan Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) pada Komposter Menara dengan mencampur pupuk cair organik aktif (PCOA) merupakan alternatif pemanfaatan limbah padat yang dihasilkan dari pabrik kelapa sawit yang lebih efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan teknik pengomposan TKKS yang lebih efisien dari segi proses dan waktu. Pengkajian dilakukan dengan memvariasikan ukuran bahan baku, frekuensi sirkulasi dan lubang asupan udara. Proses pengomposan dilakukan dengan mengomposkan TKKS yang diperoleh dari PKS Sei Mangkei pada komposter dan ditambahkan PCOA hingga mencapai nilai Kadar Air optimum 55-65%. Selama pengomposan Kadar air dijaga pada kondisi optimum dengan menambahkan PCOA. Parameter yang diamati adalah temperatur, Kadar Air, pH, Kemampuan Ikat Air, Daya hantar listrik, rasio C/N dan kualitas kompos. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa berdasarkan rasio C/N, kompos dapat diperoleh pada hari ke 10 dengan kompos terbaik diperoleh pada variasi TKKS dibelah empat dengan sirkulasi 5 hari sekali pada komposter dengan lubang asupan udara 72,39 cm2/44.314,29 cm2 dengan pH 8,8, Kadar Air 67,89%, Kemampuan Ikat air 60% , DHL 3,595 dS/m dan rasio C/N 19,54.
