A Descriptionofmain Ideas in Martin Luther King Junior’s Speech I Have A Dream

Abstract

Speech is a way of conveying the message that is implied and explicit to many people at certain situations with material that suits the audience. In delivering a speech we must have high courage and enthusiasm, especially if the speech we are going to deliver is inviting, constructing and criticizing. In the title of the paper entitled the main idea in the speech of Martin Luther King I have a dream. The author uses the method of collecting material from books and internet sources. Through this paper the author describes the main idea in the contents of Martin Luther's speech and also some of his wishes for the freedom of Negropeople in America. In Martin Luther King's speech entitled I have a Dream, it refers more to democracy to the freedom of the oppressed and alienated Negroes to have equal equality with the religious elite in education and also work. In his speech there were many dreams that Martin wanted to achieve. The author's goal in this paper is to inform the process of the struggle of a Martin Luther in taking over the Negro freedom of oppression, and so that the reader also realizes the importance of tolerance in the state and nation.

Berpidato merupakan suatu cara menyampaikan pesan yang tersirat maupun tersurat kepada banyak orang pada situasi tertentu dengan materi yang sesuai dengan penontonnya. Dalam menyampaikan pidato kita harus memiliki keberanian dan semangat tinggi, terlebih jika pidato yang akan kita sampaikan bersifat mengajak, membangun dan mengkritik. Di dalam judul kertas karya yang berjudul ide pokok di pidato martin luther king I have a dream. Penulis menggunakan metode pengumpulan materi dari buku dan sumber internet. Melalui kertas karya ini penulis mendeskripsikan ide pokok dalam isi pidato Martin Luther dan juga beberapa keinginannya akan kebebasan kaum Negro di Amerika. Dalam pidato Martin Luther King yang berjudul ‘Saya Punya Mimpi’, lebih mengacu kepada demokrasi akan kebebasan kaum Negro yang tertindas dan terasingkan agar memiliki kesetaraan yang sama dengan kaum berkullit puith dalam pendidikan dan juga pekerjaan. Didalam pidatonya terdapat banyak mimpi yang ingin Martin capai.Tujuan si penulis dalam kertas karya ini yaitu untuk memberitahukan akan proses perjuangan seorang Martin Luther dalam mengambil hak kebebasan kaum terdindas ,dan agar pembaca juga menyadari pentingnya toleransi dalam bernegara dan berbangsa khususnya dalam segiras dan agama.
