Gambaran Pelayanan Unit Linen Laundry Rumah Sakit Universitas Sumatera Utara (RS USU) Tahun 2018

Abstract

Rumah sakit merupakan tempat pengobatan, rawat inap, rawat jalan dan berbagai aktivitas lainnya sebagai pelayanan kesehatan dan merupakan tempat bekerjanya para tenaga kerja baik medis maupun non medis yang mempunyai potensi bahaya yang sangat berisiko. Lingkungan rumah sakit yang kurang baik merupakan sumber potensi terjadinya infeksi nosokomial, salah satu lingkungan tersebut adalah pengelolaan linen, jika penanganan dilakukan tidak baik, maka dapat menyebabkan penyebaran penyakit dari ruangan satu ke ruangan yang lain, dari orang sakit ke orang sehat ataupun pasien ke petugas rumah sakit. Unit linen laundry rumah sakit adalah penyumbang limbah cair terbesar yaitu 40% dari jumlah limbah cair rumah sakit. Pelayanan unit linen laundry dilaksanakan harus berdasarkan SOP dan menggunakan alat pelindung diri (APD) agar terhindar dari infeksi nosokomial dan meningkatkan mutu pelayanan rumah sakit. Logistik pelayanan linen harus disesuaikan juga dengan jumlah pasien di rumah sakit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelayanan unit linen laundry RS USU tahun 2018. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif bersifat kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah petugas unit linen laundry RS USU sedangkan informan utama adalah kepala unit linen laundry dan kepala sub bagian sarana RS USU. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa unit linen laundry RS belum menjalankan pelayanan linen sesuai SOP dan masih banyak petugas yang tidak menggunakan APD lengkap. Logistik unit linen laundry masih belum lengkap termasuk jumlah petugas masih kekurangan. Perencanaan peramalan kebutuhan linen belum baik karena dilakukan berdasarkan asumsi linen yang hilang dan rusak, proses pemesanan linen belum berjalan dengan baik karena belum ada petugas khusus yang melakukannya, pengadaan kebutuhan linen belum berjalan baik karena belum ada standar baku pengadaan linen serta pengendalian persediaan linen belum berjalan dengan baik karena perhitungan kebutuhan linen yang masih kurang dan belum menggunakan standar 3 kali jumlah tempat tidur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan perhitungan kebutuhan linen supaya dilakukan berdasarkan jumlah tempat tidur yaitu 3 par stok linen setiap tempat tidur, perlu dibuat prosedur kerja tetap dalam pengelolaan linen. Petugas bekerja seharusnya sesuai SOP dan selalu menggunakan APD lengkap. Unit linen laundry RS USU seharusnya dilengkapi sarana dan peralatan yang dibutuhkan serta petugasnya harus ditambahi agar bisa lebih maksimal pelayananannya.

The hospital is a place of treatment, in-patient care, out-patient care and various health services activities and also a place of both medical and non-medical workers who have the potential for very risky hazards. Poor hospital environment is a potential source of nosocomial infection, one of these environments is linen management. If the handling is not precise, it can cause the spread of disease from one room to another; from sick people to healthy people or patients to hospital’s officers. The hospital linen laundry unit is the largest contributor of liquid waste, which is 40% of the total hospital waste. The service of laundry linen units must be based on precise Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) and using personal protective equipment (PPE) to avoid nosocomial infections and improve the quality of hospital services. The linen service logistics must also be adjusted to the number of patients in the hospital. The purpose of this study was to determine the service of laundry linen units at USU Hospital in 2018. This research is using descriptive qualitative method. The sampling model in this study are officers of the USU Hospital's laundry laundry unit; while the main informants are the head of the laundry linen unit and the head of the sub-section of USU Hospital facilities. The results of the study show that the hospital linen laundry units have not yet run linen services according to the SOP and there are still many officers who did not use complete PPE. The logistics of the laundry linen unit is still incomplete including the lack number of officers. Forecast planning of linen needs is not good because it is proceeded based on missing and damaged linen assumptions, poor linen ordering process due to no availability of professional officers, the procurement of linen needs has not run well because there is no standard for procurement of linen, and control of linen inventory well because the calculation of linen needs is still lacking and has not used the standard 3 times the number of beds. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that the calculation of linen needs be done based on the number of beds, namely 3 par linen stock per bed. It is necessary to make a permanent working procedure in linen management. Officers work should be in accordance with the SOP and always use a complete PPE. The laundry linen unit at USU Hospital should be equipped with the necessary facilities and equipment, and the officers must be added to be able to maximize their services.
