Abstract

This paper is entitled "The Description of Main Characters in Peter Jackson’s Film The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring".” Literature is a form of art that depict human life. Film is one of the artworks. In the film there is a crucial element in the development of the story, these elements are the main characters. Character is the most interest in a film. The uniqueness of the characters in a film are always eager to make people want to know what the actual figure. Characters in the film provide another viewpoint on anything related to human life, namely the standpoint of literature to something. The author will describe the disposition of the main characters in literary works. Thus, the authors accept criticism and feedback on this paper for more leverage.

Kertas karya ini berjudul “The Description of Main Characters in Peter Jackson’s Film The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring”.” Sastra merupakan suatu bentuk karya seni yang menggambarkan kehidupan manusia. Film adalah salah satu dari karya seni tersebut. Di dalam film terdapat sebuah unsur yang penting dalam perkembangan cerita, unsur tersebut adalah karakter utama. Karakter merupakan unsur yang paling menarik perhatian dalam sebuah film. Keunikan karakter dalam sebuah film selalu membuat masyarakat berhasrat ingin mengetahui seperti apa sosoknya yang sebenarnya. Karakter dalam film memberikan sudut pandang yang lain terhadap sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan manusia, yaitu sudut pandang sastra terhadap sesuatu. Penulis akan mendeskripsikan perwatakan dari para karakter utama dalam karya sastra tersebut. Maka dari itu penulis menerima kritikan dan masukan terhadap karya tulis ini agar lebih maksimal.
