dc.description.abstract | Background. Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma is the malignant tumor derived
from the keratinocytes of the epidermis. It is the second most common skin cancer
in Indonesia. Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) have been studied and related
with the prognostic factor for many solid tumors. The research of TILs with
Hematoxylin&Eosin staining for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma has not been
studied until nowadays.
Objective. To analyze the correlation between TILs and the tumor mass location
and histological grading of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
Material and Methods. This is an analytical research with cross sectional
approach using the slide and the paraffine block from the patients diagnosed as
cutanoeus squamous cell carcinoma stained with Hematoxylin&Eosin. The
statistical analysis with Kruskal-Wallis method is used to analyze the correlation
of intratumoral and stromal TILs with the tumor mass location and histological
grading of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
Results. Based on the statistical analysis with Kruskal-Wallis method for 48
samples of the patients with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma to analyze the
correlation of intratumoral TILs and stromal TILs with the tumor mass location,
the p-value is 0,824 and 0,124 (P>0,05). The correlation of intratumoral and
stromal TILs with the histological grading show the p-value of 0,058 (p>0,05) and
0,027 (p<0,05)
Conclusion. Only the stromal TILs is closely related to the histological grading of
cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Latar Belakang. Karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit merupakan tumor ganas yang
berasal dari keratinosit epidermis dan merupakan keganasan kulit kedua terbanyak
di Indonesia. Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) telah banyak diteliti dan
berhubungan dengan faktor prognostik untuk beberapa tumor padat. Penelitian
TILs dengan pewarnaan Hematoxylin&Eosin untuk karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit
belum pernah dilakukan sampai saat ini.
Tujuan. Menganalisis hubungan tingkat TILs dengan lokasi massa tumor dan
grading histologi karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit.
Bahan dan Metode. Penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional
menggunakan slide dan blok parafin penderita karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit
dengan pewarnaan Hematoxyline&Eosin. Analisis statistik dilakukan dengan uji
Kruskal-Wallis untuk melihat hubungan intratumoral dan stromal TILs dengan
lokasi massa tumor dan grading histologi karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit.
Hasil. Berdasarkan analisis statistik Kruskal-Wallis terhadap 48 sampel
karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit dengan menguji hubungan intratumoral TILs dan
stromal TILs terhadap lokasi massa tumor, diperoleh nilai p-value sebesar 0,824
dan 0,124 (p > 0,05) sedangkan hubungan intratumoral TILs dan stromal TILs
terhadap grading histologi menunjukkan nilai p-value masing-masing sebesar
0,058 (p > 0,05) dan 0,027 (p < 0,05).
Simpulan. Hanya stromal TILs yang menunjukkan hubungan bermakna dengan
grading histologi karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit. | en_US |
