    Analisis Kota Binjai Sebagai Kota Layak Huni

    Abstract
    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketercapaian kota Binjai sebagai kota layak huni dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kota Binjai menjadi Kota Layak Huni prioritas yang perlu diutamakan yang perlu diutamakan adalah tentang aspek Tata Ruang (Tata Kota, RTH), aspek Lingkungan (Kebersihan, Polusi), aspek Transportasi (Jalan, Angkutan), aspek Fasilitas Kesehatan, aspek Fasilitas Pendidikan, aspek Infrastruktur – Utilitas (Listrik, Air, Telekomunikasi), aspek Ekonomi (Lapangan Kerja, Lokasi Kerja), aspek Keamanan, dan aspek Sosial (Kebudayaan, Interaksi Warga) sudah dapat dikatakan layak huni oleh beberapa responden terkait, ditunjukkan dengan penilaian berbagai aspek menuju kota layak huni yang dinilai baik akan tetapi dinilai kurang pada beberapa aspek seperti aspek transportasi khususnya transportasi massal (angkutan umum). Dalam menuju kota layak huni, pemenuhan kebutuhan transportasi massal memang diperlukan untuk mendukung kriteria kota yang livable.
     
    This study aimed to determine the achievement Binjai city as livable city by using descriptive analysis method. The results of this study indicate that Binjai into Livable City priorities that need to be prioritized should be targeted on aspects of Spatial (City Planning, RTH), aspects of the environment (cleanliness, pollution), aspects of Transport (Road, Transport), aspects of Health Facilities, aspects of Educational facilities, aspects Infrastructure - Utilities (Electricity, Water, Telecommunications), aspects of the economy (Employment, Work Location), aspects of security, and aspects of the Social (Cultural, Civic Interaction) can already be said to be habitable by some respondents with respect, as indicated by ratings of various aspects towards livable cities that are considered good but lacking in some aspects assessed aspects such as transportation, especially mass transportation (public transportation). In towards the city livable, fulfilling the needs of mass transit is needed to support the city's most livable criteria.
