Abstract Background: Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is skin inflammation which is a T cell mediated caused by recurrent contact to the hapten in sensitized individual. Cluster of differentiation 4+ (CD4+) and cluster of differentiation 8+ (CD8+) T cells have roles in allergic contact dermatitis pathogenesis. Objective: The aimed of the study is to investigate the levels of Cluster of differentiation 4+ (CD4+) and cluster of differentiation 8+ (CD8+) T cells in allergic contact dermatitis patients in the Division of the Immunodermatology, Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Haji Adam Malik general hospital Medan Methods: The design of the study is a cross sectional descriptive. Sample was taken using consecutive sampling. Sera were collected from forty five patients with allergic contact dermatitis for FASCanto analysis to evaluate levels of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. Results: We had forty five samples with woman predominance; The highest frequency was ≤ 31 years old. The most ocupational in ACD patients was non goverment empleyee. CD4+ and CD8+ T cells serum concentration mean and standard deviation are 851,27 ± 242,487 sel/μL and 732,69 ± 252,307sel/μL respectively. Conclusion: These findings suggest mean level of CD4+ T cells is 851,27 sel/μL and mean level of CD8+ T cells is 732,69 sel/μL.en_US
