    Studi Penurunan Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) dan Fosfat pada Air Limbah Laundry Secara Anaerob Tersuspensi dan Fitoremediasi dengan Tanaman Ganggang (Hydrilla Verticillata)

    Abstract
    Dalam menurunkan beban pencemar yang terdapat pada air limbah laundry seperti kadar COD dan fosfat dapat diolah melalui proses anaerob dan akan dilanjutkan dengan metode fitoremediasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menurunkan kadar COD dan fosfat pada air limbah laundry. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam skala laboratorium dengan variasi massa tanaman. Salah satu jenis tanaman air yang berpotensi dalam pengelolaan limbah secara fitoremediasi adalah tanaman ganggang (Hydrilla verticillata). Langkah awal dalam penelitian ini dilakukan tahap seeding dalam reaktor anaerob dengan tujuan membiakkan bakteri dengan metode biakan tersuspensi yang ditandai terjadinya penurunan COD dengan fluktuasi 10%. Dilanjutkan dengan tahap running pada reaktor anaerob hingga penurunan COD ≥60%. Kemudian dilanjutkan tahap netralisasi dan aklimatisasi pada tanaman dengan tujuan melepas kotoran pada tanaman dan pengadaptasian tanaman dengan mikroorganisme dalam air limbah. Tahap terakhir yaitu tahap running pada proses fitoremediasi yang dilakukan dengan pengamatan nilai COD dan Fosfat dalam air limbah dengan variasi massa tanaman 50, 100, 150, 200 dan 250 gram pada masing-masing reaktor dengan perlakuan waktu kontak selama 7 hari. Berdasarkan hasil analisis waktu kontak yang paling efektif pada proses fitoremediasi dalam penyisihan parameter COD dan fosfat terjadi pada hari ke-4. Efisiensi total penyisihan COD pada kombinasi proses anaerob dan fitoremediasi paling efektif pada variasi massa tanaman 200 gram sebesar 90,87% sedangkan efisiensi total penyisihan parameter ortofosfat paling efektif pada variasi massa tanaman 50 gram sebesar 16,67%. Dalam penelitian variasi massa tanaman 50 gram pada hari ke-4 sudah efektif dalam penyisihan COD dan ortofosfat sehingga dilakukan uji analisa parameter surfaktan dan TSS. Efisiensi penyisihan surfaktan dan TSS pada proses anaerob dan fitoremediasi dengan variasi massa tanaman 50 gram sebesar 97% dan 91%.
     
    In reducing the pollutant load contained in laundry wastewater such as COD and phosphate levels can be processed through anaerobic process and will be followed by phytoremediation methods. The purpose of this study is to reduce levels of COD and phosphate in laundry wastewater. This research was conducted in a laboratory scale with variations in plant mass. One type of aquatic plants that has the potential in phytoremediation waste management is algae (Hydrilla verticillata). The initial step in this research was carried out the seeding stage in anaerobic reactors with the aim of breeding bacteria with the suspended culture method which was marked by a decrease in COD with fluctuations of 10%. Followed by the running stage in the anaerobic reactor until the reduction in COD ≥60% then the stage of neutralization and acclimatization of plants with the aim of removing impurities in plants and adaptation of plants with microorganisms in wastewater. The last stage is the running stage of the phytoremediation process which is carried out by observing the value of COD and Phosphate in wastewater with variations in plant mass of 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 grams in each reactor with contact time treatment for 7 days. Based on the analysis of the most effective contact time in the phytoremediation process in the removal of COD and phosphate parameters occurred on the 4th day. The total efficiency of COD removal in a combination of anaerobic and phytoremediation processes was most effective at 200 gram plant mass variation of 90,87% while the total efficiency of orthophosphate parameter removal was most effective at 50 gram plant mass variation of 16,67%. In the study of 50 gram plant mass variation in the 4th day was effective in removing COD and orthophosphate removal so that the analysis of the surfactant and TSS parameters was tested. Efficiency of surfactant removal and TSS in anaerobic and phytoremediation processes with variations in plant mass of 50 grams by 97% and 91%.
