A Description of The Main Character in Paula Hawkins’ Novel “The Girl on The Train”

Abstract

The tittle of this paper is “A Description of The Main Character in Paula Hawkins‟ Novel The Girl on The Train.” The objective of this paper is to find the main characters. In this paper, the writer uses of the library research, then collects some books that relevant with this topic, and research the data from internet to find addition information which are related with this topic. The result of this research show that there are several characters found in the novel such as introvert, depressed, always drinking, desperate, unstable emotion, a compulsive liar, manipulative, etc.

Judul kertas karya ini adalah “A Description of The Main Character in Paula Hawkins‟ Novel The Girl on The Train.” Tujuan makalah ini adalah untuk menemukan karakter utama. Metode yang penulis gunakan di dalam kertas karya ini adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan dimana penulis mengumpulkan beberapa buku yang berhubungan dengan topik ini, dan mencari data dari internet untuk menemukan informasi tambahan yang berhubungan dengan topik ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa sifat yang ditemui dalam novel seperti sifat introvert, depresi, selalu mabuk, putus asa, emosi yang tidak stabil, sering berbohong, memanipulasi, dll.
