    Rancang Bangun Alat Sterilisasi Air Minum Menggunakan Sinar Ultraviolet Berbasis Atmega 16

    Abstract
    Water is basic need for human, because human life is dependentupon the access of clean water. One of the clear water treatment techniquesfor household scale is a sterilization system using Ultraviolet radition. A device has been designed and made that used filtration technology and water sterilization where water can be directly used by the public. To get clean water that safe to be drink, the microfilter will be cobined with Ultraviolet radiation. Water will be filtered first on the microfilter and will be shot with Ultraviolet radiation. The microcontroller that used in this device is ATMEGA 16 which controls the running of the entire system. The results of laboratory tests were carried out at the Microbiology Laboratory and stated that the results of water treatment using bacterial Ultravioet radiation had been reduced by 75%.
     
    Air merupakan kebutuhan pokok bagi manusia, karena kehidupan manusia sangat tergantung pada ketersediaan air bersih. Salah satu teknik pengolahan air bersih untuk skala rumah tangga adalah sistem sterilisasi menggunakan radiasi Ultraviolet. Telah dirancang dan dibuat sebuah alat menggunakan teknologi filtrasi dan strerilisasi air dimana air dapat langsung digunakan oleh masyarakat luas. Untuk mendapatkan air bersih yang siap diminum, mikrofilter akan dikombinasikan dengan Ultraviolet. Air akan difilter terlebih dahulu di mikrofilter dan akan ditembak dengan radiasi Ultraviolet. Mikrokontroler yang digunakan adalah ATMEGA 16 yang berfungsi untuk mengontrol jalannya keseluruhan sistem. Hasil pengujian laboratorium dilakukan di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi dan menyatakan bahwa hasil pengolahan air menggunakan radiasi Ultravioet bakteri telah berkurang 75%.
