dc.description.abstractThe coaching programs have been widely used in various institutions, especially hospital. However, many nurses managers still do not understand the method of implementing coaching. one effort to improve the skill of nurse managers is the executive coaching program. Executive coaching is a coaching program provided to nurse managers aimed to improve leadership skills. This study aims to develop a protocol executive coaching for nurse managers inpatient at RSUD of Dr. Pirngadi Medan. This type of research used is action research from the stages of reconnaissance, planning, acting and observing, and reflecting which is carried out one cycle for 5 months. Study participants were 15 people who were taken by purposive sampling. Data were analysed qualitatively using content analysis and quantitatively using descriptive statistical test. The instruments used were FGD guides, questionnaires and observation sheets. The output of this research is the formation of the executive coaching implementation protocol and the outcome of this study is the hospital accepts the executive coaching protocol and is willing to carry out the executive coaching protocol. The knowledge of participants before and after the research activities was 23.8% increased to 71.4% and the value of participants observation was 42.9% increased to 85.7%. This research recommends that the hospital, especially in the field of nursing management, can use protocol executive coaching in the implementation of coaching and can be carried out in order to continue coaching leadership skills.en_US
dc.description.abstractProgram coaching telah banyak digunakan di berbagai institusi khususnya di rumah sakit. Namun, banyak dikalangan perawat manajer masih tidak memahami metode pelaksanaan coaching. Salah satu upaya meningkatkan keterampilan perawat manajer adalah program executive coaching.Executive coaching adalah suatu program coaching yang diberikan kepada perawat manajer bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kepemimpinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan protokol executive coaching bagi perawat manajer rawat inap RSUD Dr. Pirngadi Kota Medan. Jenis penelitian digunakan adalah action research dari tahapan reconnaissance, planning, acting and observing dan reflecting yang dilakukan satu siklus selama 5 bulan. Partisipan penelitian sebanyak 15 orang yang diambil dengan cara purposive sampling, Data dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan content analysis dan secara kuantitatif menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif. Instrumen digunakan adalah panduan FGD,kuesioner dan lembar observasi. Output penelitian ini adalah terbentuknya protokol pelaksanaan executive coaching dan outcome penelitian ini adalah pihak rumah sakit menerima protokol executive coaching dan bersedia menjalankan protokol executive coaching. Pengetahuan partisipan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan penelitian adalah 23,8%, meningkat menjadi 71,4% serta nilai observasi partisipan adalah 42,9% meningkat menjadi 85,7%. Penelitian ini merekomendasikankepada pihak rumah sakit khususnya bidang manajemen keperawatan dapat menggunakan protokol executive coaching dalam pelaksanaan pembinaan dan dapat dilaksanakan agar terus melakukan pembinaan keterampilan kepemimpinan.en_US
