Analisis Pengaruh Laju Pertumbuhan Sektor Industri, Investasi, dan Upah Minimum Provinsi Terhadap Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja Sektor Industri Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh laju pertumbuhan sektor industri, investasi, dan upah minimum provinsi terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang berupa data time series dengan periode pengamatan 1998-2017 yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Dari hasil OLS memperlihatkan bahwa pergerakan pertumbuhan sektor industri, investasi, dan upah minimum provinsi mempunyai pengaruh yang beragam terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri provinsi Sumatera Utara. Hasil estimasi OLS menunjukkan bahwa variabel pertumbuhan sektor industri berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri provinsi Sumatera Utara, variabel investasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri provinsi Sumatera Utara. Sedangkan untuk variabel upah minimum provinsi tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri provinsi Sumatera Utara.

This study aims to analyze the influence of the growth rate of the industrial sector, investment, and provincial minimum wage against labor absorption in industrial sector of North Sumatra. This research is quantitative research. The type of data used is secondary data in the form of time series data with observation periods from 1998 to 2017 sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of North Sumatra Province. The analytical method used is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The OLS result show that the growth of the industrial sector, investment, and provincial minimum wages has a diverse influence in the labor in industrial sector of North Sumatra. OLS estimation result shows that the industrial sector growth variable has a negative influence and significant influence against the labor absorption in industrial sector of North Sumatra , the investment variable has a positive and significant effect against the labor absorption in industrial sector of North Sumatra. While for provincial minimum wage, it has no influence against the labor absorption in industrial sector of North Sumatra.
