Acara Talkshow "Tonight Show" dan Minat Menonton (Studi Korelasional tentang Pengaruh Presenter Acara Talkshow "Tonight Show" pada Televisi Net dengan Minat Menonton Acara Talkshow "Tonight Show" pada Masyarakat Lingkungan 6 KeIurahan Indrakasih Medan)

Abstract

The title of this research is Talkshow "Tonight Show" and Watching Interests ("Correlational Study Talkshow Presenter "Tonight Show" on TV Watching Interest talkshow "Tonight Show" on people of the environment 6 in Indrakasih Villages Medan "). The purpose of this study was to determine how big is the relation between presenter in talkshow "Tonight Show" with the interest to watch and to know the intensity and interest in the people of the environment 6 in Indrakasih Villages Medan to the talkshow "Tonight Show". Theories that are considered relevant in this study is communication, mass communication, the theory of SOR (Stimulus, Organism, Response), presenter, interests, and televisions. This study is a quantitative research. The samples used Taro Yamane formula thus obtained sample of 53 people. The sampling technique in this research is stratified proportional sampling, and purposive sampling. Data collection techniques in this study is the study of literature (library research), and field research. The method that used in this study is correlational. This method is used to determine the relationship between the variables in this research which are the variable X ("Tonight Show talkshow presenter) and Y (watch interest). Data analysis techniques do single-table analysis, cross table analysis and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 22.0. The results showed that the hypothesis (Ho) is received, which means that there is very little relationship, or very weak that there is no influence by the presenter of the talkshow with the interest to watched talkshow Tonight Show at people of the environment 6 in Indrakasih Villages Medan. It means that the presenter of "Tonight Show" indirectly not affected the interest of watching the event on television "Tonight Show" at people of the environment 6 in Indrakasih Villages Medan. The interest to watch the event could have been due to other factors beyond the Influence of the presenter of "Tonight Show".
