Pembuatan sampel dilakukan empat tahap.
The efficiency of mango leaf (Mangifera Indica L.) extract as an inhibitor has been carried out on the corrosion rate of ferrous metals in H2SO4 medium to determine the effect of volume inhibitors of mango leaf extract on iron corrosion rate in H2SO4 3% medium on the physical and mechanical properties of corrosion rate. The variations in the composition of H2SO4 and mango leaf extract (200: 0; 180: 20; 160: 40; 140: 60; 120: 80) mL within 6 days. The dimensions of the test sample are made in the form of blocks (5x5x0.02) cm. Sampling was carried out in four stages. The first stage, mango leaves are mashed into powder and then mixed with methanol and dishaker using magnetic stirer for 1 day. The second step, take the results from the shaker using filter paper so that it becomes a mango leaf extract solution. The third stage, ferrous metals and H2SO4 3% solution were mixed with mango leaf extract solution. The fourth stage, let stand a mixture of materials that have been homogeneous for 6 days in a 250mL glass beaker. The test parameters performed include: density, hardness test (Brinell Hardness Tester) and OM (Optical Microscopy) testing. The results showed that the optimum density and hardness values were produced by samples with 40 ml volume inhibitors with a value of 46.62 x 103 kg / m3 and 131.39 N / m2. 80 ml mango leaf extract inhibitor volume produced the smallest corrosion rate with a value of 14.476 x 10-3 m / year and the highest inhibitor efficiency with a value of 74.79% in H2SO4 3% medium.en_US
