| dc.description.abstract | Paparan sinar UV yang berlebih pada kulit dapat menyebabkan terbentuknya radikal bebas dan mempercepat proses penuaan kulit. Blemish Balm Cream merupakan kosmetik riasan dan kosmetik dekoratif yang mengandung tabir surya. Cara untuk meningkatkan nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF) sediaan Blemish Balm Cream dapat dilakukan dengan penambahan vitamin E dan kombinasi tabir surya avobenzone dan oktil metoksisinamat. Vitamin E merupakan antioksidan yang dapat melawan radikal bebas, memperbaiki elastisitas kulit dan mengurangi faktor penyebab proses penuaan kulit.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memformulasikan sediaan face powder dan foundation cream menjadi sediaan Blemish Balm Cream dengan penambahan vitamin E, avobenzone dan oktilmetoksisinamat sebagai anti-aging dan tabir surya.
Blemish Balm Cream diformulasikan dari face powder dan foundation cream menggunakan perbandingan 1:2 dengan penambahan vitamin E berbagai variasi konsentrasi F0 (0%), F1 (1%); F2 (3%), F3 (5%), bahan tabir surya Avobenzone 3% dan Oktil metoksisinamat 7,5%. Evaluasi sediaan Blemish Balm Cream meliputi uji organoleptis (bentuk, warna dan bau), homogenitas, pH, tipe emulsi, viskositas, cycling test, daya sebar, stabilitas penyimpanan pada suhu kamar, suhu rendah dan suhu tinggi selama penyimpanan 12 minggu, uji iritasi, aktivitas anti-aging dengan skin analyzer dan penentuan nilai SPF dengan spektrofotometri UV-Vis.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan Blemish Balm Cream yang dihasilkan berupa sediaan homogen, berwarna kuning kecoklatan, memiliki tipe emulsi m/a, stabil dalam penyimpanan suhu kamar (20-25°C), tidak stabil dalam suhu rendah (4±2°C), dan suhu tinggi (40±2°C), memiliki pH 6,0-7,9, menghasilkan nilai viskositas yang memenuhi persyaratan, stabil dalam uji cycling test dan tidak mengiritasi kulit, mempunyai aktivitas anti-aging dan nilai Sun Protecting Factor dengan perlindungan Ultra yaitu 22,21.
Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan vitamin E (5%) dengan kombinasi tabir surya avobenzone 3% dan oktilmetoksisinamat 7,5% dapat menghasilkan Blemish Balm Cream yang stabil selama penyimpanan 12 minggu dan mampu memberikan efek aktivitas anti-aging yang lebih baik dibandingkan F0, F1 (1%) dan F2 (3%) yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya kelembaban kulit, pengecilan pori, pengurangan noda dan pengurangan keriput serta menghasilkan nilai SPF yang lebih tinggi yaitu 22,1. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The exposures of UV rays on the skin can lead to the formation of free radicals and accelerate the aging process of the skin. Blemish Balm Cream is a cosmetic makeup and decorative cosmetics that generally contain sunscreen. Blemish Balm Cream is facial cosmetic preparations consisting of face powder and Foundation formulas. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that can againist free radicals that can improve skin elasticity and reduce the factors of skin aging.
This study aims to formulate face powder and foundation cream preparations into Blemish Balm Cream preparations with the addition of vitamin E, avobenzone and octyl methoxoxycinamic and to determine the effect of vitamin E on anti-aging activity and SPF values.
Blemish Balm Cream formulated from face powder and foundation cream in a ratio of 1: 2 and the addition of vitamin E in various concentrations, F0, F1 (1%); F2 (3%), and F3 (5%), Avobenzone 3% sunscreen and 7.5% Octyl methoxycinamic. Evaluation of Blemish Balm Cream preparations included organoleptic test (shape, color and odor), homogeneity, pH, type of emulsion, viscosity, cycling test, spreadability, storage stability at room temperature, low temperature and high temperature for 12 weeks, irritation test, anti-activity aging with skin analysis and determination of SPF values by UV-Vis spectrophotometry.
The result showed from the used of Formulated Blemish Balm Cream was homogeneous, yellow is brown, has an emulsion type o/w, stable in room temperature storage (20-25°C), unstable in low temperature (4±2°C), and high temperature (40±2°C), had a pH of 6.0-7.9, produces a viscosity value that meets the requirements, was stable in the cycling test and did not irritate the skin and could increased the value of the Sun Protecting Factor to 22.21.
The conclusion showed the combination of anti-aging activity on F3 (5%) had a better effect than F0, F1 (1%) and F2 (3%) which characterized by increased skin moisture, pore reduction, reduction in the number of blemishes and reduction in wrinkles and produced higher SPF value.Vitamin E (5%), avobenzone 3% sunscreen and 7.5% octyl methoxoxycinamic could formulated into Blemish Balm Cream preparations used face powder and foundation cream and provided good anti-aging activity effects and could increased the value of the Sun Protecting Factor to 22.21. | en_US |
