Bentonit-Cuo disiapkan dengan metode yang ramah lingkungan dan dimasukkan ke
dalam matriks kitosan (Cs) untuk meningkatkan sifat termal, morfologi, dan antibakterinya.
Komposit yang telah disintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan scanning electron microscopy
(SEM), Fourier Tansform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Analisis Thermogravimetric dan
studi Antibakteri. Aktivitas antimikroba dari Bentonit-CuO menunjukkan lebih dari 99%
kematian terhadap bakteri E.coli Gram-negatif dan bakteri S.aureus Gram-positif. Pengaruh
variabel konsentrasi ( kitosan-CuO(-) bentonit, kitosan/Cuo-bentonit 0,25 g, kitosan/Cuobentonit
0,5 g, dan kitosan/CuO-bentonit 1 g) sebagai pengisi antibakteri pada morfologi,
analisis termal dan sifat antibakteri dari film kitosan dievaluasi. Data yang diperoleh
menunjukkan bahwa sejumlah kecil bentonit-CuO pada film kitosan dapat meningkatkan
sifat termal dan antibakteri film tersebut. Penggabungan Bentonit-CuO ke dalam film
meningkatkan kekuatan termal (TGA). Film Kitosan / Bentonit-CuO menunjukkan aktivitas
antibakteri yang kuat terhadap patogen yang ditularkan melalui makanan dan lebih efektif
terhadap E.coli daripada S.aureus. Bentonite-Cuo was prepared by a facile and eco-friendly method and introduced
into chitosan (Cs) matrix to enhance its the thermal ,morfologi and antibacterial properties.
The synthesized composites were characterized using scanning electron microscopy
(SEM),Fourier Tansform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR),Thermogravimetric Analysis and
Antibacterial study. The antimicrobial activity of Bentonite-CuO showed more than 99%
mortality against Gram-negative bacterium E.coli and Gram-positive bacterium S.aureus.
The effect of variable concentration of Bentonite-CuO (chitosan/CuO
bentonite,chitosan/CuO-bentonite 0.25 g, chitosan/CuO-bentonite 0.5 g , and chitosan/CuObentonite
1 g ) as antibacterial filler on morfologi, thermal analysis and antibacterial
properties of chitosan films were evaluated. The obtained data showed that introducing
small amount Bentonite-CuO to chitosan films could enhance the thermal and antibacterial
properties of the films. The incorporation of Bentonite-CuO into the films increased the
thermal (TGA). Chitosan/Bentonite-CuO films showed intense antibacterial activity against
food borne pathogenic and more effective against E.coli than S.aureus.
