    Pembuatan Beton Polimer Menggunakan Serbuk Cangkang Kerang dan Serat Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit dengan Resin Polyester

    Abstract
    Research has been carried out on polymer concrete from a mixture of sand, shell powder, oil palm empty fruit bunches and polyester resin as a matrix. This study aims to determine the effect of reducing the shell shell powder and oil palm empty fruit bunch fibers by comparison: clam shell shell powder: oil palm empty fruit bunch fiber (30: 35: 0), (30: 33: 2), (30:31 : 4), (30: 29: 6), and (30: 27: 8) in grams with 35% polyester resin. And the composition (30: 30: 0), (30: 28: 2), (30: 26: 4), (30: 24: 6), (30: 22: 8) in grams with polyester resin as an adhesive is made (40)%. Preparation of test specimens was carried out in stages: weighing, mixing, jerking with hotpress for 20 minutes at 70 suhuC. The parameters tested include: physical tests (density, porosity, and water absorption), mechanical tests (flexural strength and compressive strength) and microstructure test with SEM. The test results obtained in the physical test: density values in the composition (30: 24: 6) in the resin 40% = 1.65 gr / cm ^ 3, porosity in the composition (30: 33: 2) in the resin 35% = 0.128%, water absorption in the composition (30: 30: 0) in resin 40% = 0.240%. Mechanical test: the value of the flexural strength in the composition (30: 30: 0) in the resin 40% = 33.86%, the compressive strength in the composition (30: 35: 0) in the resin 35% = 51.14%. SEM test results on the polymer concrete microstructure in the composition (30: 29: 6) in 35% resin showed that the addition of fiber can affect the yield of the concrete because it causes more cavities.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang beton polimer dari campuran bahan pasir, serbuk cangkang kerang, serat tandan kosong kelapa sawit serta resin polyester sebagai matriks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengurangan serbuk cangkang kerang dan penambahan serat tandan kosong kelapa sawit dengan perbandingan: serbuk cangkang kerang : serat tandan kosong kelapa sawit dengan komposisi (30:35:0), (30:33:2), (30:31:4), (30:29:6), dan (30:27:8) dalam satuan gram dengan resin polyester 35 gram. Dan komposisi (30:30:0), (30:28:2), (30:26:4), (30:24:6), (30:22:8) dalam satuan gram dengan resin polyester sebagai perekat dibuat 40 gram. Preparasi benda uji dilakukan dengan tahapan: penimbangan, pencampuran, pencentakan dengan hotpress selama 20 menit dengan suhu 70˚C. Parameter yang di uji antara lain: uji fisis (densitas, porositas, dan penyerapan air), uji mekanik (kuat lentur dan kuat tekan) serta uji mikrostruktur dengan SEM. Hasil pengujian diperoleh pada uji fisis: nilai densitas pada komposisi (30:24:6) pada resin 40 gram senilai 1,65 gr/ , porositas pada komposisi (30:33:2) pada resin 35 gram senilai 0,128% , penyerapan air pada komposisi (30:30:0) pada resin 40 gram senilai 0,240%. Uji mekanik: nilai kuat lentur pada komposisi (30:30:0) pada resin 40 gram senilai 33,86%, nilai kuat tekan pada komposisi (30:35:0) pada resin 35 gram senilai 51,14%. Hasil uji SEM terhadap mikrostruktur beton polimer menunjukkan bahwa penambahan serat dan resin dapat mengikat bahan menjadi lebih homogen sehingga meminimalisisr rongga. Beton polimer ini lebih ringan dari beton konvensional.
