This study aims to determine the effect of oil palm fronds fermented with local micro organisms (MOL) and the addition of additive amino acids on the performances of cattle. This research was conducted at the Marihat Perkasa Cattle Farm, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra. This research was started from August to December 2018. The materials used 12 local cattle, 12-18 months of age with weight 140 kg - 277 kg, palm leaf fronds, local microorganisms, concentrates, and buffalo rumen bacterial isolates. The research method uses a randomized block design with 4 treatments 3 replications. Variables observed were Feed consumption, Average Daily Gain, and Feed Conversion Ratio, dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibility (OMD), Income over feed cost analysis. Analysis of data using the analysis of variances. The results showed that the fermented feed with MOL had a significant effect (P <0.05) to increase the dry matter and organic matter digestibility. The addition of MOL significantly (P<0.05) increase in feed consumption, and average daily gain as well as reduced feed conversion, and profitable on IOFC value. And the best treatment result is treatment P3 on MOL fermentation treatment and the addition of L-lysine and DL-Methionin that showed the highest feed consumption (7,48kg/head/day), the highest average daily gain (1,27kg/head/day), the highest dry matter digestibility (72,23%), the highest organic matter digestibility (73,65%), the lowest feed conversion (8,61), and the highest profitable on IOFC value . It is concluded that utilizing MOL increase animal performances and income on feed base on oil palm fronds.en_US
