    Pengaruh Ukuran Partikel dan Dosis Adsorben Zeolit Alam Teraktivasi HCl dan Terimpregnasi Mg2+ Sebagai Adsorben Amonia

    Abstract
    Ammonia compounds are one component of environmental pollutants, especially water. To cope with ammonia waste to be safely disposed to the environment, a waste of ammonia is needed to reduce the burden of waste into the body of water. Reduced levels of harmful substances such as ammonia before being discharged into the water can be done by the adjuderation of these substances using adsorbent, one of them with zeolite adsorbent. The research phase starts from the activation process for 30 minutes with a solution of HCl 0.5 M and impregnation of MgCl2.6 H2O 2,5M for 2 hours. The variation used is the contact time 0; 5 10 15 20 25 30, 35, 40, 45 min, particle size (50-70 mesh, 70-110 mesh and 110-120 mesh), adsorbent dosage (0.01%; 0.03%; 0.05%; 0.07%; 0.09%; 0.11%, 0.13% m/V). Before activation, after activation and after impregnation Zeolite performed morphological characterization and elements using the Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive spectrophotometer (SEM-EDS). An unrigged ammonia ion analysis is performed using the Uv-Vis spectrofotmeter. The Freundlich and Langmuir Isotherme adsorption models are used to determine the appropriate model of the adsorption process. Best contact time is 25 minutes. The efficiency of the best ammonia is the particle size of the 110-120 mesh particle, the adsorbent dose is 0.09% and the impregnation treatment of adsorbent is 90.106%. The appropriate Isotherme model for this research is the Freundlich isotherme model with a linear regression value (R2) = 0.977.
     
    Senyawa amonia merupakan salah satu komponen pencemar lingkungan, terutama air. Untuk mengatasi limbah amonia agar aman dibuang ke lingkungan diperlukan suatu pengolahan limbah amonia, agar dapat mengurangi beban limbah yang masuk ke dalam badan air. Pengurangan kadar zat berbahaya seperti amonia sebelum dibuang ke perairan dapat dilakukan dengan mengadsorpsi zat-zat tersebut menggunakan adsorben, salah satunya dengan adsorben zeolit. Tahapan penelitian dimulai dari proses aktivasi selama 30 menit dengan larutan HCl 0,5 M dan impregnasi MgCl2.6H2O 2,5M selama 2 jam. Variasi yang digunakan adalah waktu kontak 0; 5; 10; 15; 20; 25; 30, 35, 40, 45 menit, ukuran partikel (50-70 mesh, 70-110 mesh dan 110-120 mesh), dosis adsorben (0,01%; 0,03%; 0,05%; 0,07%; 0,09%; 0,11%, 0,13%). Sebelum aktivasi, sesudah diaktivasi dan setelah impregnasi zeolit dilakukan karakterisasi morfologi dan unsur menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive Spectrofotometer (SEM-EDS). Analisa ion amonia yang terjerap dilakukan menggunakan Spektrofotmeter Uv-Vis. Model isoterm adsorpsi Freudlich dan Langmuir digunakan untuk menetukan model yang sesuai pada proses penjerapan adsorpsi. Waktu kontak terbaik adalah 25 menit. Efisiensi penjerapan amonia terbaik yaitu ukuran partikel partikel 110- , dosis adsorben 0,09% dan perlakuan impregnasi adsorben adalah sebesar 90,106%. Model isoterm yang sesuai untuk penelitian ini adalah model isoterm Freudlich dengan nilai R2 = 0,977.
