    Efektivitas Ekstrak Daun Kelor (Moringa Oleifera L) Sebagai Inhibitor Alami Terhadap Laju Korosi Logam Tembaga dalam Medium Hcl 1 M

    Abstract
    Has been conducted research on the effectiveness of kelor leaf extract as a natural inhibitor of the corrosion rate of copper metal in the Medium HCl 1 M. In this research kelor leaf extracts are used as a natural inhibitor to inhibit the rate of corrosion in copper metals. This Inhibitor is used in copper metal plates soaked in corrosive medium i.e. hydrochloric acid (HCL) 1 M with variations in the composition of inhibitors used at 0% V; 10% V; and 20% V, with immersion time of 3 days, 6 days, and 9 days. The tested characterization includes measurement of density, corrosion rate, inhibitor efficiency, hardness testing with Vickers method, and sample surface characterization using Optical Microscope (OM). From the measurement results, the value of density increases with the addition of the concentration of inhibitors in both 3-day, 6-day and 9-day immersion. The maximum Hardness value occurs in the composition of 10% inhibitor at a 9-day immersion time with a hardness value of 74.3299 Kg/mm2. And the minimum hardness value occurs in the composition 0% inhibitor at immersion time 3 days with a hardness value of 59.4093 Kg/mm2. The smallest Corrosion rate obtained samples with a 20% inhibitor composition of 71,33 mpy with a 3-day immersion time, amounting to 122,17 mpy with a 6-day immersion time, and amounted to 144,20 mpy with a 9-day immersion time. And the efficiency value of the kelor leaf extract inhibitors reaches 53.56% in the composition of 20% in the medium HCl 1 M with a immersion time of 3 days.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang efektifitas ekstrak daun kelor sebagai inhibitor alami terhadap laju korosi logam tembaga dalam medium HCl 1 M. Dalam penelitian ini ekstrak daun kelor digunakan sebagai inhibitor alami untuk menghambat laju korosi pada logam tembaga. Inhibitor ini digunakan pada plat logam tembaga yang direndam dalam media korosif yaitu Asam Klorida (HCl) 1 M dengan variasi komposisi inhibitor yang digunakan sebesar 0%V; 10%V; dan 20%V, dengan waktu perendaman selama 3 hari, 6 hari, dan 9 hari. Karakterisasi yang diuji meliputi pengukuran densitas, laju korosi, efisiensi inhibitor, pengujian kekerasan dengan metode Vickers, dan karakterisasi permukaan sampel menggunakan Optical Microscope (OM). Dari hasil pengukuran, nilai densitas meningkat seiring dengan penambahan konsentrasi inhibitor baik pada perendaman 3 hari, 6 hari maupun 9 hari. Nilai kekerasan maksimum terjadi pada komposisi inhibitor 10% pada waktu perendaman 9 hari dengan nilai kekerasan sebesar 74,3299 Kg/mm2. Dan Nilai kekerasan minimum terjadi pada komposisi inhibitor 0% pada waktu perendaman 3 hari dengan nilai kekerasan sebesar 59,4093 Kg/mm2. Laju korosi terkecil diperoleh sampel dengan komposisi inhibitor 20% sebesar 71,33 mpy dengan waktu perendaman 3 hari, sebesar 122,17 mpy dengan waktu perendaman 6 hari, dan sebesar 144,20 mpy dengan waktu perendaman 9 hari. Dan nilai efisiensi inhibitor ekstrak daun kelor mencapai 53,56% pada komposisi 20% dalam medium HCl 1 M dengan waktu perendaman 3 hari.
