dc.description.abstractMembran polimer berbasis kitosan dan zeolit alam Pahae telah berhasil didapatkan melalui metode Solution Casting. Sintesis membran divariasikan dengan komposisi Kitosan, Kitosan+Zeolit 5%, Kitosan+Zeolit 10%, Kitosan+Zeolit 15%, Kitosan+Zeolit 20% dan Kitosan+Zeolit 25 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan zeolit didalam membran kitosan meningkatkan kuat tarik dan perpanjangan. Sifat mekanik yang paling optimum pada sampel C2 dengan perpanjangan sebesar 18,1% dengan kuat tarik 1,3 MPa. Berdasarkan karakterisasi morfologi permukaan dengan SEM, morfologi permukaan membran terdistribusi merata dan tidak adanya aggregasi. Hasil uji menggunakan XRD menunjukkan bahwa penambahan zeolit dapat menurunkan kristalinitas membran. Spektrum FTIR tidak menunjukkan terbentuknya gugus fungsi baru yang menyatakan bahwa membran merupakan hasil pencampuran secara fisik. Analisis TGA menunjukkan bahwa penambahan zeolit mengalami penurunan massa sebesar 53%. Stabilitas oksidasi terbaik yaitu pada sampel C2 dengan waktu 103,2 menit. Nilai ini meningkat sekitar 60% dari stabilitas oksidasi kitosan murni.en_US
dc.description.abstractPolymer membranes based on Chitosan and Pahae Natural Zeolite have been fabricated by solution casting method. The membranes synthesized with composition variation of Chitosan, Chitosan+Zeolit 5%, Chitosan+Zeolite 10%, Chitosan+Zeolite 15%, Chitosan+Zeolite 20%, and Chitosan+Zeolite 25%. The results showed that the addition of zeolites in the chitosan membranes increased tensile strength and break elongation. The most optimum mechanical properties in C2 samples with break elongation of 18,1% with a tensile strength of 1,3 MPa. Based on the surface morphology characterization with SEM, morphology of the surface membranes is evenly distributed and there is no aggregation. Test result usung XRD showed that the addition of zeolites can reduce membranes crystallinity. The FTIR spectrum showed no formation of new functional groups inducating that the membrane was a result of physical mixing. The TGA analysis showed that the addition of zeolites has decreased by 53% in mass. The best oxidation stability was in C2 smple with 103,2 minutes. This percentage increased about 60% of the oxidation stability of pure chitosan.en_US
