Hubungan Kadar Testosteron Pasangan dengan Kualitas Hubungan pada Pasangan Usia Reproduktif

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Couple will be satisfied when they are commited and loyal, one of the hopes couples have are to obtain maximum pleasure, attachment and love during sexual intercourse . Sexual intercourse is affected by neurotransmitters and one of the main hormones that play a role is testosterone.Testosterone is not only involved in sexual arousal but also play a role on an individual’s behaviour which can lead to anaggresive and dominant behaviour on an individual which can affect the quality of a relationship. METHOD:This study is an analytic cross sectional study which has taken place is RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan.This study is taken by the paramedics that works in RSUP H. Adam Malik during the month of october 2015 with a sample of 25 couples. The main aim of the study is to observe the relationship between the total level of testosterone of each couple and the quality of the relationship which is measured using the Investment Model Scale Questionaire. The correleaction analysis is measured using the spearman test. RESULTS: Based on the study , it is shown that the level of testosterone of a man and women is around 4.67 + 2.42 and 0.45+0.26. It is shown that there’s a negative correlation between the level of testosterone and the quality of the relationship based on the satisfaction , commitment and investment on male’s which the r value are -0.777, -0.910,0.814. It is shown in female it just commitment have negative correlation which the r value are -0,562. CONCLUSSION: The higher level of testosterone on males,the lower the quality of relationships(commitment,satisfaction and investment). For females, the higher level of testosterone have negative correlation just with commitment.

LATAR BELAKANG : Pasangan akan dapat merasa puas apabila saling memiliki komitmen, setia, dan bermoral. Salah satu harapan suami istri yaitu memperoleh kesempatan untuk menumpahkan gairah seksual, merasakan kedekatan dan kasih sayang. Hubungan seksual dipengaruhi oleh banyak neurotransmiter, salah satunya adalah testosteron. Testosteron tidak hanya berhubungan dengan libido, namun juga pada perilaku, yaitu perilaku agresif dan dominan pada suatu individu yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas suatu hubungan. METODE :Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik potong lintang. Penelitian dilakukan di RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan pada paramedic yang bekerja di RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan pada bulan Oktober 2015 dengan jumlah sampel 25 pasangan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menilai hubungan kadar total testosteron pasangan dan dihubungkan dengan kualitas hubungan yang dinilai dengan menggunakan kuisioner Investment Model Scale. Analisis korelasi menggunakan uji spearman. HASIL :Pada penelitian inididapatkan rata-rata kadar testosteron laki-laki dan perempuan masing masing sebesar 4,67+2,42 dan 0,45+0,26. Pada pasangan laki-laki terdapat korelasi negatif antara kadar testosteron dengan kualitas hubungan yang dinilai berdasarkan skala kepuasan,komitmen dan besarnya pengorbanan dengan nilai r masingmasing -0,777, -0,910, -0,814. Sementara pada pasangan perempuan hanya komitmen hubungan yang berhubungan dengan kadar testosteron dengan nilai r=-0,562. KESIMPULAN :Semakin tinggi kadar testosteron pada pasangan laki-laki maka kualitas hubungan (komitmen,kepuasan dan besarnya pengorbanan) akan semakin menurun, sementara pada pasangan perempuan hanya terdapat hubungan antara komitmen dengan kadar testosteron.
