    Analisis Potensi dan Strategi Pembangunan di Wilayah Kota Medan

    Abstract
    Medan City is an autonomous region that has the authority to organize government and development as well as optimally manage economic potential that can be enjoyed by the people of Medan City. This study aims to determine the superior potential and Development Strategy in the Medan City Area. This study uses secondary data in the form of time series data Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of the constant prices of the City of Medan and North Sumatra Province year 2013-2017 and analyzed using the Klassen Typology Analysis method, Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share Analysis, and SWOT Analysis. Klassen's Typology Analysis shows that there are 10 (ten) sectors which are categorized as developed and rapidly growing sectors in Medan City. Location Quotient (LQ) analysis results show that there are 12 (twelve) leading sectors in Medan City. From the Shift Share results, the Province Share (PS), Proportional Shift (P) and Differential Shift (D) components show that there are 7 (seven) sectors that have decreased contributions from 2013-2017. And the results of the SWOT analysis obtained 8 alternative strategies which are solutions
     
    Kota Medan salah satu daerah otonom yang memiliki kewenangan untuk menyelenggarakan pemerintahan dan pembangunan serta mengelola potensi ekonomi secara optimal yang dapat dinikmati oleh masyarakat Kota Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan potensi unggulan dan Strategi Pembangunan di Wilayah Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data Sekunder berupa data runtun waktu (time series) PDRB atas dasar harga konstan Kota Medan dan Provinsi Sumatera Utara tahun 2013-2017 dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Analisis Tipologi Klassen, Location Quotient (LQ), Analisis Shift Share, dan Analisis SWOT. Analisis Tipologi Klassen menunjukkan terdapat 10 (sepuluh) sektor yang dikategorikan sebagai sektor maju dan tumbuh pesat di Kota Medan. Hasil analisis Location Quotient (LQ) terdapat 12 (dua belas) sektor unggulan di Kota Medan. Dari hasil Shift Share digunakan komponen Province Share (PS), Proportional Shift (P), dan dari Differential Shift (D) menunjukkan ada 7 (tujuh) sektor yan mengalami penurunan kontribusi dari tahun 2013-2017. Dan hasil analisis SWOT diperoleh 8 alternatif strategi yang merupakan solusi.
