dc.description.abstractMaintaining production machinery appears to be an avoidable activity because it affects the production process at factory floor. If maintenance didn’t perform properly it will result in machine and equipment breakdowns so production capacity and quality of the product cannot be achieved. Machine breakdown will reduce its availability and affecting in productivity. PT. Padasa Enam Utama is a company engaged in plantation and palm oil mill. To process fruit bunches into crude palm oil and kernel, the company use a variety machines and equipment such as Boiler, Sterilizer, Hoisting Crane, Thresher, Digester, Screw Press, Oil Purifier, Ripple Mill, Hydrocyclone etc. To maintaining machines and equipment the company applying corrective maintenance system, which is to do the restoration work after the item has failed. For continuous process such in palm oil mill, the system is ineffective because if there’s failure in any of the machine would interfere in production process even stop processing completely. Based on these condition, therefor this study is to design the maintenance system mostly for critical machine and its components using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Reliability Engineering (RE) method. Based on the analysis using Pareto’s diagram founded that the critical machines is screw press due components critical i.e: Hand Worm Screw, Handle Shaft, Cylinder Press, Hand Worm Lethening, and Bearing. Maintenance system and operating prosedures were design based on task selection time directed (TD) and condition directed (CD) and MTTF values were used to design critical component replacement schedule.en_US
dc.description.abstractPerawatan mesin produksi merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang tidak dapat dihindari karena sangat mempengaruhi kelancaran proses produksi di lantai pabrik. Apabila perawatan tidak dilakukan dengan baik maka akan mengakibatkan kerusakan pada mesin dan peralatan sehingga kapasitas produksi dan kualitas produk tidak terpenuhi. Kerusakan mesin mengakibatkan turunnya ketersediaan mesin (availability) dan dapat mempengaruhi produktifitas perusahaan. PT. Padasa Enam Utama adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang perkebunan dan pabrik minyak kelapa sawit. Untuk mengolah tandan buah kelapa sawit menjadi minyak dan inti sawit, perusahaan menggunakan berbagai mesin dan peralatan seperti Boiler, Ketel Rebusan, Hoisting Crane, Thresher, Digester, Screw Press, Oil Purifier, Ripple Mill, Hydrocyclone dan lain-lain. Dalam melakukan perawatan mesin-mesin tersebut perusahaan menggunakan sistem corrective maintenance, yaitu perawatan mesin dilakukan setelah mesin tersebut mengalami kerusakan. Untuk proses yang berlangsung secara terus menerus seperti di pengolahan kelapa sawit, sistem tersebut kurang efektif karena bila salah satu mesin mengalami kerusakan dapat mengakibatkan terganggunya proses produksi dan bahkan pabrik mengalami stagnasi. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, maka penelitian dilakukan untuk merancang sistem perawatan mesin terutama untuk mesin yang kritis dengan menggunakan metode Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) dan Reliability Engineering (RE). Dari hasil analisis menggunakan diagram Pareto ditemukan mesin yang kritis adalah mesin screw press beserta komponen kritisnya yaitu: Hand Worm Screw, Handle Shaft, Cylinder Press, Hand Worm Lethening dan Bearing. Sistem perawatan mesin dan Operating Prosedures dirancang berdasarkan tindakan time directed (TD), condition directed (CD) dan jadwal penggantian untuk komponen yang kritis menggunakan nilai MTTF.en_US
