    Kemampuan Adsorpsi Arang Batang Rambutan yang termodifikasi Asam Nitrat(HNO3) terhadap Logam Berat Ion Cuprum (Cu2+) pada Shaker

    Abstract
    The adsorbent modified from rambutan rods was synthesized and using nitric acid as modifying agent The performance of the modified rambutan rods(MRR). MRR was characterized by, SEM-EDX, FTIR and AAS. The adsorption of Cu(II) from aqueous solutions with MRR which contained acid groups was studied at varying adsorbent size, initial Cu(II) concentration, stirring speed. The batch equilibrium data fitted well to the Langmuir isotherm. Maximum adsorption capacity of MRR for Cr(II) was 5,504 mg/g (100/200 mesh, 70 ppm, 150 rpm) which was relatively large compared to some adsorbents as reported. Kinetic data were best fitted with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The intra-particle diffusion model was applied to investigate the adsorption mechanisms. The obtained thermodynamic parameters showed that the adsorption of Cu(II) onto the adsorbent was an spontaneous and endothermic process. These results showed that the Charcoal from rambutan rods could be considered as a potential adsorbent for the removal of Cu(II) ions from aqueous solutions.
     
    Adsorben hasil modifikasi batang rambutan disintesis menggunakan asam nitrat sebagai agen pengubah Kinerja batang rambutan termodifikasi (MRR). MRR dikarakterisasi dengan, SEM-EDX, FTIR dan AAS. Adsorpsi Cu (II) dari air dengan MRR yang mengandung asam dipelajari pada berbagai ukuran adsorben, konsentrasi awal Cu (II),kecepatan mengaduk. Data kesetimbangan batch sangat sesuai dengan isoterm Langmuir. Kapasitas adsorpsi maksimum MRR untuk Cr (II) adalah 5,504 mg / g (100/200 mesh, 70 ppm, 150 rpm) yang relatif besar dibandingkan dengan beberapa adsorben seperti yang diteliti. Data kinetik paling baik yaitu dengan model kinetik pseudo orde dua. Model difusi intra-partikel diterapkan untuk menyelidiki mekanisme adsorpsi. Parameter termodinamika yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa adsorpsi Cu (II) pada adsorben berlangsung secara spontan dan proses endotermik. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Arang batang rambutan dapat dianggap sebagai adsorben yang sangat potensial untuk menghilangkan ion Cu (II) dari air.
