    Kajian Kebutuhan Air Tanaman Tomat (Solanum lycopersicum) Berdasarkan Metode Evapotranspirasi Hargreaves

    Abstract
    Tomato plants are one of the plant commodities that have a high economic value and moreover interested in various communities. Because of the development of sciencs and technology, there are many ways used to maximize the cultivation of tomato plants. One of the basic necessary to maximize the cultivation of tomato plants is to know how much the value of water tomato plants need and how much the value of evapotranspiration tomato plant. This research aims to know how much water is needed by tomato plants, and the value of water content that resides at the research site, village of spirit, Merdeka District, Karo Regency. The results showed different daily evapotranspiration values were quite significant. The highest value of evapotranspiration in January, amounted to 5,64 mm/day, and the smallest in May, amounted to 5,10 mm/day. While, the value of water requirements of tomato plants 0-15 HST, value of Etc is 3,63 mm/day, at 15-30 HST is 3,22 mm/day, at 30-60 HST is 6,38 mm/day, at 60-90 HST amounted to 6,47 mm/day, and at 90-105 HSTamounted to 4,27 mm/day.
     
    Tanaman tomat merupakan salah satu komoditas tanaman yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi dan diminati banyak kalangan. Karena berkembangnya teknologi dan ilmu, maka banyak cara yang digunakan guna memaksimalkan pembudidayaan tanaman tomat. Salah satu dasar yang diperlukan untuk memaksimalkan pembudidayaan tanaman tomat ialah dengan mengetahui berapa nilai kebutuhan air tanaman tomat serta berapa nilai evapotranspirasi tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa banyak air yang dibutuhkan oleh tanaman tomat, serta nilai kadar air yang berada pada lokasi penelitian yaitu Desa Semangat, Kecamatan Merdeka, Kabupaten Karo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai evapotranspirasi harian berbeda cukup signifikan. Didapati nilai evapotranspirasi tertinggi pada bulan Januari sebesar 5,64 mm/hari, dan terkecil pada bulan Mei sebesar 5,10 mm/hari. sedangkan nilai kebutuhan air tanaman tomat didapati pada 0-15 HST nilai ETc sebesar 3,63 mm/hari, pada 15- 30 HST sebesar 3,22 mm/hari, pada 30-60 HST sebesar 6,38 mm/hari, pada 60-90 HST sebesar 6,47 mm/hari, dan pada 90-105 HST sebesar 4,27 mm/hari.
