Analisis Potensi Sektor Industri Manufaktur di Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Deli Serdang Regency is an area that has resources so that it is used as an area of economic potential. The structure of the business fields of some of the Deli Serdang society comes from the manufacturing industry, wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair, construction and agricultural business fields. It can be seen from the magnitude of the role of each business field in the formation of the Gross Domestic Regional Product (PDRB) of Deli Serdang Regency. The largest contribution in 2018 produced by the manufacturing industry and followed by wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair, and construction, agriculture. While each of the other business fields is below 10 percents. This study uses secondary data by comparing PDRB based on 2010 constant prices in Deli Serdang Regency and North Sumatera Province by using the period 2011-2018. This study uses Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, Shift Share analysis, Growth Ratio Models (GRM) and overlay analysis. The research result of Location Quotient analysis show that the manufacturing sector is a base sector. The research result of Shift Share analysis shows that economic structure of Deli Serdang regency got a shift from the manufacturing sector (secunder) to the transportation and warehousing sector (tertiary). The Growth Ratio Model (GRM) analysis result shows that manufacturing sector is not a potential sector at both the province and regency level with RPr and RPs < 1. Overlay analysis result show that manufacturing sector is not a leading sector

Kabupaten Deli Serdang merupakan daerah yang memiliki sumber daya sehingga dijadikan sebagai daerah potensi ekonomi. Struktur lapangan usaha sebagian masyarakat Deli Serdang berasal dari lapangan usaha Industri Pengolahan, Perdagangan Besar dan Eceran; Reparasi Mobil dan Sepeda Motor serta lapangan usaha Konstruksi, pertanian. Hal tersebut terlihat dari besarnya peranan masingmasing lapangan usaha terhadap pembentukan PDRB Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Sumbangan terbesar tahun 2018 dihasilkan oleh lapangan usaha Industri Pengolahan, dan diikuti Perdagangan Besar dan Eceran; Reparasi Mobil dan Sepeda Motor serta Konstruksi, Pertanian. Sementara peranan lapangan usaha lainnya masing-masing di bawah 10 (sepuluh) persen. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dengan membandingkan data Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) berdasarkan harga konstan 2010 Kabupaten Deli Serdang dan Provinsi Sumatera Utara dengan menggunakan periode Tahun 2011- 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis Location Quotient (LQ) , analisis Shift Share, Model Rasio Pertumbuhan (MRP), dan analisis Overlay. Hasil penelitian analisis Location Quotient menunjukkan bahwa sektor industri pengolahan/manufaktur merupakan sektor basis. Hasil penelitian analisis Shift Share menunjukkan struktur ekonomi Kabupaten Deli Serdang mengalami pergeseran dari sektor Industri Pengolahan/Manufaktur (sekunder) ke sektor Transportasi dan Pergudangan (tersier). Hasil analisis Model Rasio Pertumbuhan (MRP) menunjukkan bahwa sektor industri pengolahan/manufaktur bukan merupakan sektor yang potensial baik pada tingkat provinsi maupun kabupaten dengan RPr dan RPs < 1. Hasil analisis Overlay menunjukkan bahwa sektor Industri Pengolahan/Manufaktur bukan merupakan sektor unggulan.
