The tool mechanical sugar palm fruit breakers is a tool used separate by the skin with the seeds of the palm fruit to produce artificial sweeteners. The performance of designed mechanical sugar palm fruit breakers has not been be examined and necessary to do research for get the performance value of the tool. This study used 10 kg, 20 kg and 30 kg of palm fruit which had been boiled for two hours, by doing three repetitions for each weight of the material. The parameters in this study were the effective capacity of the tool, yield and fuel consumption. By the results of the research, the highest average effective capacity of the tool value was obtained at the weight of the material much as 30 kg of 437.2 (kg/hour), while the lowest was the weight of 10 kg of material of 414.47 (kg/hour) and the average value effective capacity of the tool with a material weight of 20 kg of 436.51 (kg/hour). Each weight of the material has an average yield value of 15%. The average discharge of fuel consumption at a material weight of 10 kg is 2.65 l/hour, while for a material weight of 20 kg it is 2.70 l/hour and at a material weight of 30 kg is 2.73 l/hour. Alat pemecah buah aren mekanis merupakan alat yang digunakan memisahkan kulit dengan biji buah aren untuk menghasilkan kolang-kaling. Kinerja alat pemecah buah aren mekanis yang telah dirancang belum dilakukan pengujian dan perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mendapatkan nilai kinerja alat. Penelitian ini menggunakan buah aren sebanyak 10 kg, 20 kg dan 30 kg yang telah direbus selama dua jam, dengan melakukan tiga kali pengulangan pada masing-masing berat bahan. Parameter dalam penelitian ini adalah kapasitas efektif alat, rendemen dan konsumsi bahan bakar. Hasil penelitian mendapati nilai rata-rata tertinggi kapasitas efektif alat diperoleh pada berat bahan sebanyak 30 kg sebesar 437,2 (kg/jam), sedangkan yang terendah terdapat pada berat bahan 10 kg sebesar 414,47 (kg/jam) dan nilai rata-rata kapasitas efektif alat dengan berat bahan 20 kg sebesar 436,51 (kg/jam). Masing-masing berat bahan sama-sama memperoleh nilai rata-rata rendemen sebesar 15%. Rata-rata debit pemakaian bahan bakar pada berat bahan 10 kg memperoleh 2,65 l/jam, sedangkan pada berat bahan 20 kg sebesar 2,70 l/jam dan pada berat bahan 30 kg sebesar 2,73 l/jam.
