dc.description.abstract | Unemployment is a problem that becomes an obstacle in economic development. The decrease of unemployment rate in Sumatera Utara Province is still far from the target set by the government. This study aims to analyze whether investment, minimum wages, human development index, and inflation affect the unemployment rate in Sumatera Utara. The method of the study is multiple regression analysis and used secondary data from 2011-2018 quaterly. The result of this study on simultaneous test showed that investment, minimum wages, human development index and inflation are silmutaneously effect the unemployment rate in Sumatera Utara province. The result of partial test are investment has positive and insignificant affect of 0.006, minimum wages variable has negative and significant affect of 1.384, human development index has negative and significant affect of 8.273, inflation has negative and significant affect of 0.088. The increasing of minimum wages, human development index and inflation will decrease the unemployment rate in Sumatera Utara province. It is recommended to the government to pay more attention to minimum wages, human development index and inflation to increase employment in economy . | en_US |
