    Abstract
    Corrosion inhibitors utilization are a suitable way to provide protection against metal corrosion in corrosive media. At present, corrosion inhibitors made from organic raw materials are more used in industrial parts, because organic inhibitors are cheap and environmentally friendly than inorganic inhibitors. One of the organic inhibitors is soursop leaves (Annona muricata L.). This study aims to determine the inhibitory ability of soursop leaf powder at various particle sizes on the iron plate in sodium chloride (NaCl) solution medium. Soursop leaves are used as a corrosion inhibitor because they contain alkaloid compounds. The variables observed were particle size and immersion time. The particle sizes used in this study were 50/70 mesh, 70/100 mesh, 100/120 mesh and 120/140 mesh at a concentration of 2% and immersion time in 50 mL NaCl 3% medium for 2 days, 4 days, 6 days and 8 days. The method used in determining the corrosion rate is the weight loss method. The parameters studied were the corrosion rate and the efficiency of the iron plates. The results obtained showed that the corrosion inhibitor of soursop leaf powder was able to reduce the corrosion rate of the iron plate in NaCl media. The best results obtained for 8 days of immersion were at a particle size of 120/140 mesh with a corrosion rate of 1.23 mpy and inhibition efficiency of 51.70% on the eighth day.
     
    Pemanfaatan inhibitor korosi merupakan jalan terbaik untuk memberikan perlindungan terhadap korosi logam pada media korosif. Saat ini, inhibitor korosi berbahan baku organik lebih digunakan pada bagian industri, karena inhibitor organik yang murah dan bersifat ramah lingkungan daripada inhibitor anorganik. Salah satu bahan inhibitor organik adalah daun sirsak (Annona muricata L.). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kemampuan inhibisi serbuk daun sirsak pada berbagai ukuran partikel pada plat besi dalam media larutan natrium klorida (NaCl). Daun sirsak digunakan sebagai inhibitor korosi karena mengandung seyawa alkaloid. Variabelvariabel yang diamati antara lain ukuran partikel dan waktu perendaman. Ukuran partikel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 50/70 mesh, 70/100 mesh, 100/120 mesh dan 120/140 mesh pada konsentrasi 2% dan waktu perendaman dalam media 50 mL NaCl 3% selama 2 hari, 4 hari, 6 hari dan 8 hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam menentukan laju korosi adalah metode pengurangan berat. Parameter yang diteliti adalah laju korosi dan efisiensi besi. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa inhibitor korosi dari serbuk daun sirsak mampu mengurangi laju korosi plat besi dalam media NaCl. Hasil terbaik yang diperoleh selama 8 hari waktu perendaman adalah pada ukuran partikel 120/140 mesh dengan laju korosi sebesar 1,23 mpy dan efisiensi inhibisi yang diperoleh sebesar 51,70% pada hari kedelapan.
