    Komposisi Tegakan dan Pendugaan Karbon Tersimpan pada Tegakan di Hutan Lindung Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat

    Abstract
    Forest has various of benefit for lives. Forest supports human life in so many aspects. Forest potency has the shape of variety involves and carbon content are kept must to assess. The objective of this research was to know trees composition and carbon sink in protected forest Pakpak Bharat District. This research was carried out at April 2009. Vegetation survey was conducted by using band method and sampling based on sistematic sampling with random start. Structure of tree community was observed for all life trees which categorized by age:pole, and tree. The group of trees (dbh ≥ 30) was identified with the 20x20 m2 main plot, and 10x10 m2 sub plot for pole (dbh10 29,9 cm) category were made inside. Method of carbon calculation uses model Biomasses Alometric Kettering (2001) and Hairiah et al (2007) because this model very simple and accommodation variable that more. The Research showed from 72 plots studied, 128 tree species found consisting of 57 genus and 37 families. In the pole stage Archidendron sp were the dominant species with IVI were 20,4, and in the tree stage Lithocarpus bennetti were the dominant species with IVI 19,9. In the pole stage found that richness index (R1) were 15,14 and in the tree stage were 15,45. Diversity index (H1) were 4,2 in the pole stage and 4,03 in the tree stage. Eveness index (E1) were 0,69 in the pole stage and 0,72 in the tree stage. Average of carbon sink in protected forest Pakpak Bharat District were 143,7 tons/ha and carbon sink that exiest in protected forest Kabupaten Pakpak District is 4.605.297,6 tons
     
    Hutan memiliki berbagai manfaat bagi kehidupan. Hutan mendukung kehidupan manusia dalam berbagai aspek. Potensi hutan berupa keanekaragaman hayati dan kandungan karbon tersimpan perlu dikaji. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi tegakan dan mengetahui kandungan karbon tersimpan pada tegakan di hutan lindung Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat. Penelitian dilakukan mulai April 2009. Analisis vegetasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode jalur berpetak dan peletakan contoh dengan metode sistematic sampling with random start. Identifikasi dilakukan terhadap tingkat pertumbuhan tiang (dbh10 cm 29,9 cm). dan pohon (dbh ≥ 30) cm dengan ukuran plot 10 m x 10 m untuk tingkat pertumbuhan tiangdan 20 m x 20 m untuk tingkat pertumbuhan pohon. Metode perhitungan karbon menggunakan model alometrik Biomasa Kettering, (2001) dan Hairiah et al, (1999) karena model ini sangat sederhana serta mengakomodasi variabel yang lebih banyak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 72 plot yang diteliti tercatat 128 jenis tegakan yang tergolong dalam 57 marga dan 37 suku. Jenis yang mendominasi di Hutan Lindung Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat adalah Archidendron sp dengan nilai INP 20,4 untuk tingkat tiang, dan untuk tingkat pohon didominasi oleh Lithocarpus bennetti dengan INP 19,9%. Indeks kekayaan (R1) pada tingkat tiang sebesar 15,14 dan pada tingkat pohon sebesar 15,45. Indeks keanekaragaman (H1) sebesar 4,2 pada tingkat tiang dan 4,03 pada tingkat pohon. Indeks kemerataan (E1) sebesar 0,69 pada tingkat tiang dan 0,72 pada tingkat pohon. Kandungan karbon tersimpan pada tegakan adalah 143,7 ton/ha dan kandungan karbon tersimpan pada tegakan di Hutan Lindung Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat adalah 4.605.297,6 ton.
