Analisis Faktor Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Ketersediaan Beras di Sumatera Utara

Hasman Hasyim. Reg. Number Study. 057018009. The Analysis of Factors Influence on the Availability of Rice In Sumatera Utara (Dr. Syaad Afiruddin, SE, M.Ec, as Chairman and Drs. Iskandar Syarief, MA, as Member of the Advisory Committee). The objective of this research is to know the influence of various factors, namely, the acre of crop, rice price, maize price and availability of rice in the previous year, to the availability of rice in Sumatera Utara. Data used in this research is secondary data in the form of time series of 1987 - 2006. The method used is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Data is processed by the Eviews Program version of 4.1. The coefficient of determination (R2) - 0.993 result indicates that 99,3 % of the availability of rice variation can be explained by the variation of acre crop, rice price, maize price and availability of rice in the previous year. Simultaneously, all of these variables significantly influence on the availability of rice. Partially, the acre crop, rice price very significantly influence, while maize price and availability of rice in the previous year are not significant to the availability of rice.

Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder runtun waktu (time series) mulai tahun 1987 hingga 2006. Dalam penelitian ini, analisis dilakukan dengan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Alat bantu dalam mengolah data sekunder ini adalah Program Eviews versi 4.1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil estimasi dapat diperoleh nilai koefisen determinasi (R2) sebesar 0.993 yang berarti bahwa variasi yang terjadi pada luas panen, harga beras, harga jagung dan ketersediaan beras tahun sebelumnya dapat menjelaskan ketersediaan beras sebesar 99,3 % Secara serempak menunjukkan bahwa dari keseluruhan variabel bebas yaitu luas panen, harga beras, harga jagung dan ketersediaan beras tahun sebelumnya memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap ketersediaan beras Secara parsial variabel luas panen dan variabel harga beras memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap ketersediaan beras sedangkan kedua variabel yaitu harga jagung dan ketersediaan beras tahun sebelumnya menunjukkan pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap ketersediaan beras.
