dc.description.abstract | Reclamation of swamps by drainage system influence the contraction of the soil skeleton; lowering of the ground - water table and loss of solid soil constituents. So its occured Soil Subsidence in swamps area The value ofsoil subsidence could be predicted by using the formula S = k D T 0,707(meter) that developed by Segeberg in order to utilization ofswamps could be sustainable The purposes of this thesis were to make the models of application of Soil Subsidence's formula such as sampling, calculating and applicating in the planning of swamps development. Failure in anticipation (by exact prediction) effect destruction in infrastructure of swamps development or its obstruct of the swamps utilization by maximum. Prediction of Soil Subsidence in The Swamps of Sei Kualuh I SK II number 10,11 and 12 that used both equation and diagram with Ld and k that got of the examination ofsoil constituents was 14 cm and that used both equation and diagram with Ld and k that got of diagram for Ld (where water content and organic matter content of the soil sample was known) was 10 cm. The application in the planning of swamps development were done by substracting the depth of drainage with the value of Soil Subsidence in calculating the depth of potential drainage as indicator ofthe quality of land. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Reklamasi rawa dengan sistem drainase menyebabkan rangka tanah mengkerut terjadi penurunan muka air tanah dan kehilangan bahan dasar tanah organik karena oksidasi bahan organiknya. Sehingga terjadilah penurunan muka tanah organik di daerah rawa yang disebut Soil Subsidence. Besarnya Soil Subsidence dapat diprediksi menggunakan rumus S = k D T 0,707 (meter) yang dikembangkan oleh Segeberg agar pemanfaatan rawa dapat berkelanjutan. Tujuan penulisan thesis ini adalah membuat model aplikasi rumus Soil Subsidence, baik dalam pengambilan sampel, perhitungan dan aplikasinya dalam perencanaan pengembangan rawa. Kelalaian mengantisipasi (dengan prediksi terukur) berakibat kerusakan-kerusakan prasarana reklamasi rawa atau terhalangnya pemanfaatan rawa secara maksimal. Prediksi besaran Soil Subsidence di daerah Rawa Sei Kualuh I unit hidrologi II SK II nomor 10,11 dan 12 yang menggunakan, baik rumus maupun diagram, dengan Ld dan k yang diperoleh dari uji konsistensi tanah adalah sebesar 14 cm; sedangkan yang menggunakan Ld dan k yang diperoleh dari diagram penetapan Ld (dimana kandungan air dan bahan organik dari sampel tanah diketahui) adalah sebesar 10 cm.
