dc.description.abstractPurpose : to evaluate decrease of GPX level in the nucleus lens of patients diabetic cataract and non diabetic Method : Observasional and cross sectional method. Divided 2 group A (41 nucleus with diabetic cataract) and Group B (nucleus with nondiabetic cataract) were collected in ECCE dan SICS surgery. The specimens were centrifuged and the supernatans of the homogate obtained from the samples were analyzed for the GPX level. Results : Group A composed of 25 male (55,6%) and 16 female (43,2%) patients and mean age of patients was 57,93  7,2 years. Mean of Group B composed of 21 female and 20 males patients and mean age was 66,15  9,2 years. Mean of the measurements of level GPX at nucleus lens were 5,82 ± 2,39 U/L vs 9,52 ± 2,48 U/L, in group A and B. The difference between groups were significance with p<0,05. Conclusion : The GPX level at nucleus lens of diabetic cataract lower than non diabetic. The oxidative stress in diabetic and non diabetic cataract can influenced by multifactorial.en_US
dc.description.abstractTujuan : Untuk menilai penurunan kadar enzim glutation peroksidase pada katarak penderita diabetika dengan non diabetika Metode : Penelitian observasional dengan metode subjek yang diteliti secara potong lintang. Dibagi kelompok A( 41 nukleus katarak DM) dan kelompok B ( 41 nukleus katarak non DM) yang dikumpulkan pada ekstraksi katarak ECCE dan SICS. Sampel di sentrifuse dan supernatannya dihomogenisasi dan di analisa kadar enzim GPX nya. Hasil : Kelompok A terdiri dari laki – laki 25 orang (55,6%) dan perempuan sebanyak 16 orang (43,2%) dengan rerata usia 57,93  7,261 tahun. Kelompok B perempuan sebanyak 21 orang (56,8%) dan laki-laki sebanyak 20 orang (44,4%) dengan rerata usia 66,15  9,237 tahun. Hasil kadar GPX nuKleus lensa pada kelompok A 5,82 ± 2,39 U/L sedangkan rerata kadar GPX nuKleus lensa pada kelompok B 9,52 ± 2,48 U/L. terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kedua kelompok dengan nilai p<0,05. Kesimpulan : Kadar enzim glutation peroksidase (GPX) pada lensa penderita katarak diabetika lebih rendah dibandingkan kadar enzim GPX penderita katarak non diabetika. Kandungan antioksidan dan stres oksidatif didalam lensa katarak penderita diabetika maupun non diabetika dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor penyakit dan lingkunganen_US
