Optimalisasi Pengendalian Persediaan Pemesanan Alat Kesehatan Jenis Infus Menggunakan Metode EOQ (Studi Kasus: PT. Hexalab Sumatera Medan)

Abstract

In production and distribution activities, inventory can be categorized as capital in the form of goods. On the one hand, inventory is considered a waste, but on the other hand is also considered an indispensable asset to ensure the smooth fulfillment of demand. Excessive inventory may pose risks such as damage to goods and the incidence of maintenance costs. To minimize the total cost of inventory, the company can pay attention to the number of needs of each item to be ordered. For that, it is necessary to find the right method that can help determine the exact amount of goods in the order. This paper shows the application of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Method in getting the right amount of medical equipment ordering at PT. Hexalab Sumatera Medan with optimal ordering frequency. At the end, the results obtained comparison using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Method with the results using company methods. Dalam kegiatan produksi maupun distribusi, persediaan dapat dikategorikan sebagai modal yang berbentuk barang. Di satu sisi, persediaan dianggap sebagai pemborosan, tetapi di sisi lain juga dianggap sebagai aset yang sangat diperlukan untuk menjamin kelancaran pemenuhan permintaan. Persediaan yang terlalu berlebih dapat menimbulkan resiko seperti kerusakan barang dan timbulnya biaya perawatan persediaan. Untuk meminimalkan total biaya persediaan, perusahaan dapat memperhatikan jumlah kebutuhan setiap barang yang akan dipesan. Untuk itu, perlu dicari metode yang tepat yang dapat membantu menentukan jumlah barang yang tepat dalam pemesanan. Tulisan ini menunjukkan pengaplikasian Metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dalam mendapatkan jumlah pemesanan alat kesehatan yang tepat pada PT. Hexalab Sumatera Medan dengan frekuensi pemesanan yang optimal. Pada bagian akhir, didapat perbandingan hasil yang menggunakan Metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dengan hasil yang menggunakan metode perusahaan.
