Analisis Efektivitas Didaktis terhadap Definisi Matematika pada Kasus Nilai Absolut

Abstract

Quite often a mathematical object may be introduced by a set of equivalent definitions. A fundamental question is determining the ”didactic effectiveness” of the techniques for solving a kind of problem associated with these definitions; this effectiveness is evaluated by taking into account the epistemic, cognitive and instructional dimensions of the study processes. So as to provide an example of this process, in this thesis we study the didactic effectiveness of techniques associated with different definitions of absolute value notion. The teaching and learning of absolute value are problematic; this is proven by the amount and heterogeneity of research papers that have been published. This thesis propose a ”global” study from an ontological and semiotic point of view

Objek matematika sangat sering bisa diperkenalkan dengan serangkaian definisi yang ekuivalen. Pertanyaan mendasar adalah menentukan ”efektivitas didaktik” dari teknik untuk memecahkan sejenis masalah yang terkait dengan definisi tersebut; efektivitas ini dievaluasi dengan memperhitungkan dimensi epistemik, kognitif dan instruksional dari proses studi. Karena itu untuk memberikan contoh proses dalam tesis ini di kaji efektivitas didaktik dari teknik yang terkait dengan definisi-definisi yang berbeda dari gagasan nilai absolut. Proses belajar-mengajar nilai absolut memang bermasalah; ini dibuktikan oleh jumlah dan heterogenitas tulisan-tulisan penelitian yang dipub likasikan. Tesis ini mengajukan suatu studi ”global” dari sudut pandang ontologik dan semiotik.
