dc.description.abstractRhodamin B is a textile dyes that should not be used as food coloring, accumulation in the body which caused several health problems. Honey contains the bioactive components e.g: flovanoid, amino acids, enzymes and vitamins, which is very useful to make the body health. The purpose of this research was to determine the usefulness of honey in changes between the urea and creatinine levels as well as macroscopic and histopathological renal proximal tubules of male mice (Mus musculus L.) which had been given Rhodamin B. This experimental research laboratory with the design of the post test only control group. The male mice research’s subject (Mus musculus L.) Strain DD Webster, aged 6-8 weeks with 25-40 grams, obtained from the Natural Science USU. Subjects were divided into four groups: P0 (control), P1 (Rhodamin B 0.2%), P2 (honey 0.08 ml/20g mice/day) and P3 (Rhodamin B 0.2% and honey 0.08 ml/20g mice/day). Then, there were normality and homogeneity tests of data, if the result of research are normally distributed and homogeneous there will be an ANOVA test (p <0.05) continued by a Post Hock test with Benferroni analysis of 5%, when the data were not normally distributed and homogeneous, followed by the Mann Whitney test. The research’s result has shown that urea level in group P1(R) increased significantly (p<0.05) compared to P3, P0 (R) and P2 (R) and did not significantly (p>0.05) different between group P0, P1, P2 and P3(R). The Creatinine levels between group P1 and P3 decreased significantly (p<0.05) compared to group P0 and P2. After the recovery period, the creatinine levels increased significantly (p <0.05) towards groups P1(R) and P3(R). The renal proximal tubular necrosis degree was significantly different (p<0.05) between the groups Rhodamin (P1) and P1(R) with the group P0, P2, P0(R) and P2(R) and did not significantly different (p>0.05) towards the P3 and P3(R). The highest weight gain was in the group P2 (honey) and the lowest weight gain was in the group P3 (Rhodamin and honey). This research has shown that honey could not fix the urea and creatinine levels as well as macroscopic changes, and renal proximal tubules histopathology of male mice which had been given Rhodamin Ben_US
dc.description.abstractRhodamin B merupakan pewarna tekstil yang tidak dapat digunakan sebagai pewarna makanan, akumulasi didalam tubuh akan menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan. Madu mengandung komponen bioaktif flovanoid, asam amino, enzim dan vitamin yang bermanfaat bagi tubuh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manfaat pemberian madu terhadap perubahan kadar ureum dan kreatinin serta makroskopik ginjal dan histopatologi tubulus proksimal ginjal mencit (Mus musculus L.) jantan yang diberi rhodamin B. Penelitian ini diuji dengan eksperimen laboratorium menggunakan rancangan the post test only control group. Subyek penelitian adalah mencit jantan (Mus musculus L.) Strain DD Webster, berumur 6-8 minggu dengan berat 25-40 gram, di peroleh dari FMIPA USU. Subyek dibagi 4 kelompok terdiri dari: P0 (kontrol), P1 (rhodamin B 0,2%), P2 (madu 0,08ml/20gram mencit/hari), P3 (rhodamin B 0,2% dan madu 0,08ml/20gram mencit/hari). Selanjutnya dilakukan uji normalitas dan homogenitas data, bila data berdistribusi normal dan homogen dilakukan uji ANOVA, bila (p<0,05) dilanjutkan dengan uji Post hock analisa Benferroni taraf 5% dan bila data berdistribusi tidak normal dan tidak homogen diuji dengan Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar ureum pada kelompok P1(R) meningkat secara bermakna (p<0,05) dibanding P3, P0(R) dan P2(R) dan berbeda secara tidak bermakna (p>0,05) terhadap kelompok P0, P1, P2 dan P3(R). Kadar kreatinin pada kelompok P1 dan P3 terjadi penurunan secara bermakna (p<0,05) dibandingkan kelompok P0 dan P2. Setelah penghentian pemberian rhodamin terjadi peningkatan kadar kreatinin secara bermakna (p<0,05) terhadap kelompok P1(R) dan P3(R). Derajat nekrosis tubulus proksimal ginjal berbeda secara bermakna (p<0,05) antara kelompok rhodamin (P1) dan P1(R) dengan kelompok P0, P2, P0(R), dan P2(R) dan berbeda tidak bermakna (p>0,05) terhadap P3 dan P3(R). Pertambahan berat badan tertinggi terdapat pada kelompok P2 (madu) dan terendah terdapat pada kelompok P3 (Rhodamin dan madu). Pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian madu tidak dapat memperbaiki kadar ureum dan kreatinin serta perubahan makroskopik ginjal dan histopatologi tubulus proksimal ginjal mencit jantan yang diberi rhodamin B.en_US
