    Pengaruh Pemberian Vitamin E terhadap Kadar Hormon Estrogen dan Gambaran Histopatologi Tulang Alveolar Mencit (Mus Musculus L.) yang melakukan Latihan Fisik Maksimal

    Abstract
    Free radicals are an atom or molecule that has no pairs of electrons and can damage the molecules essential for cellular function. In conditions of oxidative stress, free radicals will cause lipid peroxidation of cell membranes and damage the cell membrane organization. Giving intake of antioxidants in the form of vitamin E is proposed to reduce the effects of free radicals in the body. The aim of this study was to see whether there are effects of vitamin E on the level of estrogen and of the alveolar bone structure of mice caused by free radicals. In mice (Mus musculus L.) females were divided into 6 groups, each group consisted of 5 repetition: P0 = given no treatment (control group); P1 = maximal physical exercise every day for 30 days; P2 = vitamin E for 30 days; P3 = maximum physical exercise for 15 days, then 15 days more vitamin E, P4 = vitamin E for 15 days, then 15 days again maximal physical exercise; P5 = maximal physical exercise and vitamin E for 30 days. At the end of treatment according to the group, then by checking on the level of estrogen and of the alveolar bone structure of mice. The results of this study shows vitamin E levels of the hormone estrogen effect on mice (Mus musculus L.) adult females who perform maximal physical exercise significantly (p<0.05). Vitamin E effect on alveolar bone structure of mice (Mus musculus L.) adult females who perform maximal physical exercise significantly (p<0.05). For further research needs to be additional doses of vitamin E and long delivery.
     
    Radikal bebas merupakan suatu atom atau molekul yang tidak mempunyai pasangan elektron dan dapat merusak molekul-molekul penting bagi fungsi seluler. Pada kondisi stress oksidatif, radikal bebas akan menyebabkan terjadinya peroksidasi lipid membran sel dan merusak organisasi membran sel. Pemberian asupan antioksidan berupa vitamin E diusulkan dapat menurunkan efek radikal bebas dalam tubuh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh pemberian vitamin E terhadap kadar estrogen dan terhadap stuktur tulang alveolar mencit akibat radikal bebas. Pada mencit (Mus musculus L.) betina dibagi dalam 6 kelompok, tiap kelompok terdiri dari 5 ekor, P0= tidak diberi perlakuan (kelompok kontrol); P1= latihan fisik maksimal setiap hari selama 30 hari; P2= vitamin E selama 30 hari; P3= latihan fisik maksimal selama 15 hari, selanjutnya 15 hari lagi vitamin E; P4= vitamin E selama 15 hari, selanjutnya 15 hari lagi latihan fisik maksimal; P5= latihan fisik maksimal dan vitamin E selama 30 hari. Pada akhir perlakuan sesuai dengan kelompok, maka dilakukan pemeriksaan terhadap kadar estrogen dan terhadap stuktur tulang alveolar mencit. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan vitamin E berpengaruh terhadap kadar hormon estrogen mencit (Mus musculus L.) betina dewasa yang melakukan latihan fisik maksimal secara nyata (p<0,05). Vitamin E berpengaruh terhadap stuktur tulang alveolar mencit (Mus musculus L.) betina dewasa yang melakukan latihan fisik maksimal secara nyata (p<0,05). Untuk penelitian selanjutnya perlu dilakukan penambahan dosis vitamin E dan lama pemberian.
